The JACS team mourns the loss of Professor Allen J. Bard of the University of Texas at Austin. Bard served as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of the American Chemical Society from 1982-2001. As a scientist, teacher, and mentor Bard inspired countless individuals. He will be missed.
