@Atikatika9jJ That’s a symptom of this being a political issue. The unfortunate thing is SCSs are unable to address the overdose crisis. Most people will not use these sites even if they are available.

Why are there no stories into why government are getting away with doing absolutely nothing to stop the overdose crisis? Honestly, drug checking, overdose prevention sites, prescribed safe supply are all unfit to address the crisis. Literally all we have is naloxone.

There is a hole in this ship and all they have done is given us thimbles to bail. Regulating the drug supply is an effective and cost effective solution. Everything else is a distraction. Use the proceed to fund recovery or the useless MMHA. Just stop the death.

I wish we could help everyone, but those who were lucky enough to access DULF know that we saved their lives.

Funding IS NOT our Achilles heel. The beauty of what we have done is that ideas do not rely on funding. Chop down DULF and another will reappear. We are motivated by love, and cannot be stopped.

Gloves are still on, we’re just getting started.

@bcsteelheader @TheTyee Absolutely zero tax dollars have been spent on DULF's drugs. The people who use the drugs pay for their own drugs. DULF simply sources, tests, labels and packages the substances. Opinions are valuable, but if we want to make everyone's lives better we need data.

@bcsteelheader @TheTyee We did find that providing a community regulated supply of drugs at non-exploitive prices resulted in significantly less crime and diversion.

@TheTyee Does a safe supply prevent my tools leaving my shop in a shopping cart at 4am in the morning? My compassion and empathy left in that shopping cart. Fuck safe supply. Get them off the hook. Period. Lock them up till they get clean.
