I love Nico as much as anyone, but it’s amazing to see the fanbase change their stance on what’s “good” for certain players
When Jack was hurt, Bratt took a ton of criticism because he wasn’t scoring goals.

Friendly reminder that Cory Schneider was bought out in November of his age 33 season with a save % of .887.
Jacob Markstrom (36 years old) has a save % of .883 in April.
He was extended two more years.
Fitzgerald was the GM for both moves.

Lost in last night's loss to the Isles was that Nick Bjugstad Being Big didn't help the Devils perform all that well. Any more than Maxim Tsypalkov Being Big (assuming non-Canadians can be Big) or Any Other Player Being Big.
Devils got Bigger - and Big doesn't win in the NHL.

I think it's crazy to let Tom Fitzgerald and Sheldon Keefe finish out the season. They should both be gone at the Olympic break, but I doubt that's happening.

Certainly, this won't be the season savior. There likely isn't one. However, speaking with a scout last night and one of the many things they said if the #NJDevils want to improve, they undoubtedly need to be bigger.
