You don’t have to agree with every application of it to recognise that it exists. Sex Matters build their entire position on collapsing these distinctions. They blur law into biology. They flatten complexity into slogans. They present contested views as settled fact. Then they use that framing to influence policy, including lobbying at the Council of Europe around conversion practices that have been widely condemned for causing harm. This is not clarity. It is oversimplification used as a political tool. The reality is simple in a different way. Sex matters. Gender exists. Human biology is complex. Any argument that cannot hold all three at once is not describing reality.
