Q-Day will not be announced with a headline. There will just be wallets draining. Here is how it actually plays out for the people holding assets when it happens.
It is a Tuesday morning in 2029.
A security researcher in Geneva, let us call her Laura, is running a routine audit on a post-quantum migration report for a mid-sized European bank.
The bank did the work. They migrated their internal comms two years ago. Updated their certificate infrastructure. Rotated keys. They went through the checklist and signed off. Their CISO presented it to the board as done.
But buried in Laura's audit is a single line item she almost skips, Legacy transaction signatures, 2019 to 2023. Not re-signed under PQC. Archived, not active.
She pauses.
Those transactions are not active. The bank is not using them. They are just sitting in the archive, like old files in a folder nobody opens. Except this is not a folder on a hard drive in a server room the bank controls. This is a blockchain.
Archived does not mean gone. Archived means permanently stored, publicly accessible, readable by anyone with an internet connection, forever.
A quantum computer powerful enough to run Shor's algorithm does not care that those transactions are old. It does not need permission to access them. It does not need to break into anything.
The public keys are right there on-chain. As they always were. As they were designed to be. And a public key, to a sufficiently advanced quantum computer, is just the beginning of the calculation.
The exposure did not happen in 2029. It happened the day each transaction was broadcast. The quantum computer just has to show up.
Laura types slowly now. Because the question she is adding to her report is not "could this happen." It is "how many other ledgers have this same line item and do not know it yet."

@QANplatform You guys have nothing to post, so you keep posting little stories.
Do we need to draw it for you to understand that we want to know when you're going to deliver the mainnet?
Other quantum coins like Naori are running laps around.

Which quantum resistance project you like the most ?
✅ @Algorand
✅ @Starknet
✅ @QRLedger
✅ @cellframenet
You can mention other project as well 👇

@QANplatform Good. Where we stand on this? Are we part of the blockchains that will be funded or partner with it? Are we part of the blockchains that will be used to provide safe haven? Give us items that connect us to the quantum news you post, thanks

@QANplatform Cool, we just got passed by in the race to be the leader. A bit unfortunate. Let's hope our mainnet comes before we are not second but third, or after. Clock is ticking.

Bitcoin’s post-quantum migration clock has started. The next upgrade cycle won’t be about speed or fees. It will be about cryptographic survival.
newswire.ca/news-releases/…
17 years after Bitcoin's genesis block, BTQ Technologies launched Bitcoin Quantum testnet on January 12, 2026, the first quantum-safe Bitcoin fork using NIST-standardized ML-DSA (FIPS 204) cryptography. (The same PQC algorithm that QANplatform chose.)
This isn't a research paper. It's a live, permissionless network with functioning infrastructure: block explorer, mining pool, full transaction lifecycle. Anyone can mine, develop, audit, and stress-test quantum-resistant transactions today.
The urgency is real: According to Chainalysis, approximately $718 billion in Bitcoin sits in addresses vulnerable to quantum attacks. Google's Willow chip demonstrated below-threshold quantum error correction in December 2024. Microsoft's Majorana 1 introduced topological qubit processing in February 2025. Industry roadmaps target 1 million qubits by 2030.
The U.S. government isn't waiting around. DoD issued a memo on November 18, 2025, requiring all components to migrate to NIST-approved post-quantum algorithms by December 31, 2030.
Institutional money is paying attention. BlackRock expanded quantum risk disclosures in its iShares Bitcoin Trust prospectus in May 2025, warning that quantum computing could "compromise the security of the Bitcoin network." The fund holds over $70 billion in assets.
Choosing quantum resistance in 2024 looked like planning ahead; in 2026, it's looking like the only viable path forward.

@uncle_yoshy @coinbureau @QANplatform Check @hackenclub, one of the partners, and also auditor, for their audits if you want facts
English

@uncle_yoshy @coinbureau @QANplatform Strange as your initial post relates to an idea. A project. Not facts 😉. On the contrary Qan has facts, partnerships, audits. Nfa.
English

@coinbureau It's a draft idea, and I'm not sure it actually solves things. Like a lot of projects, they will showcase some ideas to temper fears.
Going to be messy for most chains trying to reinvent themselves.
$QANX years ahead on this. @QANplatform

English

$QANX has built their solution so users of the MOST WIDELY USED wallets like Metamask and Trust can interact with QANplatform.
$QRL also is trying to become EVM compatible.
BUT... they don't have a method to interact with Ethereum EC keys. That means to onboard any user, they will need a project specific wallet.
If both deliver around the same time, what stands a better chance for meaningful adoption?
I hold QANX, so you know my answer. And I think QANX will deliver first as audits are complete, while QRL Zond is still awaiting audit.
In the end, neither project will prevent the other from achieving meaningful adoption. You can call it friendly competition if you like, and competition is a good sign of market demand.
Lately people have been seeing QRL price action and frustrated by QANX faltering. Well, both have achieved the same marketcap at different times. And QRL has thinner liquidity which was evidenced by a 40% move in 4 hours not too long ago.
The prices will continue to keep you guessing, but its just bumps in the road as they try to achieve meaningful adoption.
QANX has already shown the ability to gain enterprise interest, and that visibility along with easy onboarding sets up nicely.
BTW, gaining that enterprise adoption and auditing their innovative QVM both required major effort and time. It has felt like forever. But it's been a success. The best is yet to come.

English

@Cryptcrypt669 @QANplatform Agreed, let us know about the blockchain, how do you plan to fit in the news you post, not just the post, for that we have the world media, and this news I already had

Google and the UK's National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) have announced a collaboration, providing researchers access to Google's advanced Willow quantum processors through grants.
Proposals are due by January 31, 2026.
Quantum computing is advancing rapidly, with IBM’s roadmap aiming for quantum systems built from modules totaling over 4,000 qubits in 2025, and many industry roadmaps anticipating practically useful fault‑tolerant systems emerging around the 2030 horizon.
Willow highlights the accelerating quantum capabilities that underpin the emerging threat to today’s cryptography and reinforces the urgency behind NIST’s newly finalized post‑quantum encryption standards, which are intended to protect digital infrastructures from future quantum attacks.
This development serves as a critical reminder: accelerating quantum progress renders current encryption obsolete in the near term.
Organizations should prioritize integration of quantum-resistant technologies to safeguard assets.
