10:45p: Latest radar image shows snow closing in on DC from the south. Some of the leading edge of the precipitation you see on radar is snow higher up in the atmosphere drying up before it reaches the ground. (The radar beam, tilted slightly upward, sees higher and higher into the atmosphere the farther it travels from the radar.) But the snowflake icons indicate reports of snow falling as close as Fredericksburg and northern Prince William County. Please let us know when flakes start flying where you are!

The last two days produced 12 shutouts in 24 games. There has never been a two-day span in history with a minimum of 20 games where half of them were shutouts, confirmed by the Elias. Thanks to Matt Allison, avid listener of @greatgameorwhat, for his curiosity after the seven shutouts in 15 games Wednesday.

The worst part about the Nationals’ inability to keep their own home grown superstars has been that they’ve mostly all ended up with division rivals. When the dust settles- Bryce Harper will mostly remembered as a Philly and Juan Soto as a Met. Trea Turner as a Phillie. Etc etc.
