@dominiccampbell @respros Actually the non-metropolitan county was never abolished. The Berkshire unitaries, uniquely I think, have individually the functions of a non-metropolitan county but are not legally non-metropolitan counties.

I’m sure everyone across Reading will be as disappointed as I am by the Tier 4 news, & very frustrated & even angry too. We’ve not had any detail from Government yet, but the Council will update as soon as we’re able. And we’ll do whatever we can to support those in our community
