Health update, As some of you know I was scheduled to have my reversal surgery tomorrow. As a result of my pre-surgical blood work which I had done Monday, my surgery has been postponed. A blood marker called Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) showed to be significantly elevated. While CEA levels are not definitive, an elevated level is very concerning. Now tomorrow I will have a diagnostic procedure called a Flex Sigmoidoscopy and next week have new CT Scans of my chest and abdomen along with an MRI of the chest to rule out any possible metastatic spread. Obviously my cancer is aggressive considering I had a recurrence not long after being clean in October. That said, this does not mean definitively a worst case scenario. It just means we need to find out more info to know for sure what the case may be and how to proceed. Whenever my body was fighting and I had something happening with the cancer in the past 2 years I felt a BIG difference in my energy levels and how I felt overall. However right now I feel physically the best I have felt in 3 years. That said, obviously I am very concerned and the times of “unknown” status in this fight are very difficult mentally. Thanks to so many of you that have supported me and my family and keep those prayers coming. #PuckCancer

Thx for asking. For the first time in 3 years, not embellishing that period of time, I woke up and felt good, had good energy and that sustained the entire day until I went to bed for the first time in a very long time. Literally the best day I have had in 3 years. 100%? No. But greatly improved to an extent I haven’t felt in 3 years? YES!!! One more surgery after the season and I am on my way. #PuckCancer

Update on my nieces brain surgery, they got all of the tumor but they’re positive it’s a rare fast growing brain cancer called glioblastoma. As it stands right now, they say 6 months max to live. I want to thank all of you praying and ask that you’d continue. I will update as I hear more:

I got a call my niece was at the hospital with a severe headache. They called back she has a large brain tumor and they’re doing emergency surgery tomorrow . It doesn’t sound good they will know more tomorrow if she survives the surgery. Her name is Lou Ann please pray for her

So, I guess I’m finally dying dying. I’ve been “battling” colon cancer for 5 years and I’m now at the end of my road. Treatment is failing and the cancer of it all is starting to rear its ugly head. I’ve been in the hospital for over a week. After this I’ll likely go home to hospice care and start saying my goodbyes. I don’t want to admit that it’s happening. I don’t want it to be true. If I’m honest it’s been true since I got the news in 2021. Been playing fast and loose ever since.

@FlyersAnt I agree, Vlady should have had their 2nd goal, Canes defense is suspect, not impressed with Ghost and Walker and their goalie can be had, need to score some goals.

Much better opponent, no shots on 3 power plays, missing a top six guy, and it was only 3-0? One is off a bad turnover and one Vladar probably needs to get. By reading twitter you would think it was 10-0. Steal game 2 somehow and we have a series.
