My condolences to Brunson and the Collins family. So sad to lose a legendary human being so young. RIP Jason Collins. You inspired so many by living your life the way you did.

BOYCOTT the SEC: the Southeastern Conference supports the GOP effort the strip Black voters of their rights. 56% of all players in the SEC are Black. Generating BILLIONS to these institutions. BLACK ATHLETES SHOULD TRANSFER AND DECOMMIT. Boycott Games.

I'm curious whether he grapples with the fact that in order to be in his bubble, he had to consciously ignore everything that other Black people had said about race in America for his entire life until his adopted daughter experienced it directly.

@bjmorr170 Very clear. Clear that you don’t know me or anything about what I could or couldn’t do. Or what I actually do or what circles you think I run in. But keep spouting off like you know something. Seems to be a popular pastime. But I won’t waste my time engaging in it anymore.

@JRBlake Not truly going to go HARD on you like I could, but you found out that despite running in CERTAIN circles, you were not exempt from adverse racial treatment. You could've sued (to send a CLEAR message) AND help backlog cases, similar to yours. Is that clear enough for you?

This is why it was so important to me to speak out. This happens far too often and can end tragically. The lack of accountability in the aftermath is yet another tragedy. This man deserves justice. But I have no faith he will get it after enduring what I did. 1/x

This was WAY worse than what happened to @JRBlake back in 2015.. and that was a travesty! This is outlandish and should be considered criminal!

@LaurenLowery08 I’ve done what I can with my platform. Getting a fellow paid for in the NYC budget to help with cases like this after it happened to me. I’m fortunate enough to be able to afford a lawyer, but I wanted to help some that aren’t as fortunate.

@JRBlake JB YOU can make a difference in NYC and globally with your platform. Do more than respond to a tweet. In this current climate all powerful voices are needed. If you don’t, your Black family members will be next. And you’ll wish you did.

@bjmorr170 I had a line item put in the budget for NYC to pay for a fellow for at least 3 years to help the backlog of cases like this. I felt that was more worthwhile than me suing the city to get millions. Is that enough for you?

@JRBlake Oh....so NOW you want to say that this is another tragedy. You have a platform and you could've used it way back then, why now...? Did it interrupt your tea and biscuits...?

My thoughts are with Mr. Brown, his family and so many others that face this injustice for just legally shopping and committing the crime of being black in public. @JooHyun_Kang

The fact that the police have the full video and haven’t released it means they will huddle internally and find a way to spin it with the marketing team. My guess is it’s worse than we can even imagine. They always remain in control of the spin unless Mr. brown gets a lawyer 2/x

SHOCKING CLASH: Donald Trump CALLS POPE LEO XIV “AN INSULT TO JESUS” — THE POPE’S RESPONSE STUNS THE WORLD Donald Trump believed he could score easy political points by calling Pope Leo XIV “an insult to Jesus,” after the spiritual leader once again spoke out in defense of peace, compassion, and human dignity. However, he was challenging a voice rooted not in politics, but in moral authority. Standing before a solemn gathering at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV did not respond with anger. Instead, he delivered a powerful and deeply moving message grounded in faith, responsibility, and truth. “The President of the United States has said that I insult Jesus,” Pope Leo XIV began, his voice calm yet firm. “But let us reflect honestly — what truly insults the teachings of Christ?” Then, with quiet intensity, he answered: “You want to know what truly insults Jesus? It is when we turn away from those who suffer, when we close our hearts to the poor, and when we choose power over compassion while others cry out for mercy.” He continued: “You know what insults Jesus? It is forgetting the dignity of every human being, ignoring the pain of families in crisis, and refusing to hear the voices of the most vulnerable among us.” His message then deepened, becoming not just a response, but a moral call that reached far beyond the moment: “You know what insults Jesus? It is creating division where there should be unity, spreading fear where there should be hope, and turning away from justice when we have the responsibility to uphold it.” This was not merely a political rebuttal — it was something far more profound. Pope Leo XIV, known for his humility and steadfast commitment to peace, transformed the confrontation into a reflection on conscience rather than conflict. Instead of escalating tensions, he elevated the conversation to a universal moral level. “I do not claim to be perfect,” he admitted. “But I strive each day to walk the path of compassion — to serve, to listen, and to love as we are all called to do.” Then came the line that resonated far beyond the walls of the Vatican: “If we truly believe in a world shaped by peace and mercy… then why do we not work harder to bring that reality into our lives — here and now, for one another?” That was his response. Not with anger. Not with division. But with conviction — and grace. Trump sought to challenge him. Instead, Pope Leo XIV delivered a message now echoing across millions, reminding the world that true strength is found not in power alone, but in conscience, humility, and love.
