NEW: Toronto police from three different divisions were called to do crowd control after mobs of people were trying to break through a giant ice block to find out the release date of Drake's new album. Deranged fans were seen trying to break through the ice with fire and sledgehammers. According to police, about 800 gathered at the giant ice block in the middle of the night. Firefighters were also reportedly called in to assist.

Look who's approaching her milk bottle at a steady trot – it's none other than Lamuu, our newest orphan! This level of mobility is remarkable. Rescued in January, Lamuu was severely injured by a snare that sliced through her front left leg. She could barely manage a single, painful step when she arrived at Kaluku. He arrived at our Kaluku Nursery deeply traumatised, especially in confined spaces – even his stable unsettled him. We patiently earned his trust, showing him that he was loved and in safe hands. To see him so comfortable inside his bedroom – and quite cheeky to boot – was a triumph indeed. Natibu's journey back to the wild is still in its early days. The herd just got a little taller and a lot cuter. 🦒 Say hello to our newest giraffe calf, born March 23 to mom Chrystal and dad Tebogo. This little girl weighed around 132 pounds and stood about 5 feet 9 inches at birth. She is the perfect mini-me of mom Chrystal.

It's Losoito's birthday and to celebrate, she's having a party in the mud bath. Judging by her exuberant splashing, you (and our Keeper filming) are all invited too! Our Keepers have been with Losoito every step of the way – including the muddy bits – since her rescue in 2023. Back then, one of our pilots spotted her traversing Tsavo West with an unlikely protector: a large wild bull. Orphaned calves sometimes seek refuge with bulls, but it's only ever temporary and at two years old, she was too young to survive without milk. Today, she is safe, loved and surrounded by family in our care. We call her our "little munchkin" – delightfully short and stout, with an outsized personality and a determined little run you can spot from a mile away.
