@TheTaxNomad Lively HSA is one to check. A client was told that same 5-7 day timeline but was able to call and they expedited to help him have data for payroll enrollment. Not sure if it will be the same turnaround with 4/15 approaching

I've got a client that wants to contribute the max to his HSA for 2025, his current account is closed and Optum bank is saying it take 5-7 business days. Any recommendations on a different provider who can open and fund before April 15th?

@walterkirn Prior to ACA, I paid $700/month for self-employed insurance to cover a family of four. Today, I pay over $3,000/month for a high-deductible plan. In other words, I pay $36,000 a year for the privilege of paying cash for care.

Obamacare is the worst legislation of my adulthood and needs to go away.

It really is insane. My move is YouTube TV (bc you HAVE to get live sports), Prime (surrogate video store) and then one of the remaining as a treat which I rotate eg I recently cancelled Netflix and got HBO. You have to set rules for yourself or they win.
