@wildstwawberry I’m an Arena player, but tried a semi-competitive prerelease event. My OP used a random token for Royal Treatment, and me not knowing it gave ward 1 likely cost me a top 16 finish when it countered my 6 mana spell… 😒

My main critique of Secrets of Strixhaven Limited is these two cards. They will appear in most drafts you do but they each create a hyper specific token that isn’t in the set, and arguably was a confusing mechanic in the set it debuted in 3 years ago.

@draftsim Competitive limited is my favorite form of MTG, but this doesn’t feel much different than normal Premiere. I’d rather they just run more events like the Arena Open.

@BartHanson Yes. It’s the poker player version of showing up to a test unprepared, or being on stage and not knowing the lines.

personally i dunno how there are people who don't enjoy draft/sealed, there is nothing more fundamental to the tcg experience than cracking open some packs and making decks out of them

Part of the reason I stopped running a TCGplayer store: there's never ending competition at every level. Try to grow and you'll get squashed by the legit companies with staff and distro. Small seller? Get crushed by the guy sorting through 42K commons for $10 in profit.
