They also missed 17 tackles, only ran 8 plays on offense halfway through the 2nd quarter, and gave up FOUR drives of 13+ plays…this was a C game AT BEST for Ole Miss. Which was why it was astonishing they had a lead with 3 min left. Agree with Eric it wasn’t Miami’s best either, so many opportunities to change the game. But not close to being a “good” game for Ole Miss. Trinidad had a few great moments. Defense just needed a stop.

Ole Miss converted 2-of-10 on 3rd down and allowed Miami to convert on 13 3rd/4th down attempts. Miami deserves a ton of credit, but I'd hardly call that an A+ game from Ole Miss.

SEC still has the most talent as a whole. Most talented team isn’t always the best team…see Indiana. Bama had 57 4 & 5 star recruits on their roster, Indiana had 8. Indiana dog walked them because they are a better team. Better coaching. Better development. SEC will continue to have more talent too to bottom but it’s not a monopoly anymore because of NIL. Depth isn’t as elite as it used to be.
