@MediocreJoker85 It’s like my local grocery store. They have a buy two for $5. I don’t need two so I buy one for $2.50. How many people think they have to buy two in order to get that savings?

An old man is selling watermelons by the side of the road. His sign reads: 1 for $3 3 for $10 A young man stops and buys one watermelon. “That’ll be $3,” says the old man. The young man then buys a second watermelon. And then a third. After paying another $3 each time, the young man picks up his watermelons and starts to walk away. Then he turns back, grinning proudly. “Hey old man,” he says, “you realize I just bought three watermelons for $9 instead of $10? Maybe business isn’t your thing.” The old man smiles and shakes his head. “Funny… every time somebody comes by, they buy three watermelons instead of one… and then try to teach me business.”

One thing many foreigners find unbelievable about Japan 🇯🇵 In some rural areas, people sell vegetables through unmanned stands. No staff. No security guard. You simply take what you want and leave the money behind. And somehow… it often works. Could this exist in your country?

The tipping culture in America never fails to baffle me I won’t lie. A pint is around $9 (just under £7) which includes an 18.75% service charge (so around $7.50 for the actual pint itself, which isn’t too dissimilar to UK prices) and I’m fine with that. But then they give you a pen with the receipt to write an extra tip on and it’s so bloody awkward. So many questions going through my mind every time. What do you want me to do here? What was the 18.75% for? Are you not getting paid by the hour? How much are you getting of that service charge? How much more are you expecting? Do I look a tight bastard if I just do $1 more? I’d say I’m a very generous bloke too with my time and my money but it’s just mind-blowing stuff how this is a normality. Can’t beat just buying 3 pints in the UK (well Europe, let’s be honest) in a pub for around 18quid… and just giving a 20sheet to the barman and letting them keep the change 🍻

PGA of America
At 100 years old, WWII veteran Bernie Smoot still drives his convertible Ford Mustang to play golf five days a week, shoots in the low 80s and shares wisdom from 74 years in the game: “You live to play golf. But to reach my age, you play golf to live.” To celebrate Bernie — who landed at Omaha Beach just months after graduating high school — his PGA Coach and friend Jeff Maynor organized a tournament in his honor at the University of Maryland Golf Course, where Bernie plays five days a week. Maynor, the course’s PGA Director of Golf, has run a @PGAHOPE program there for Veterans since 2019, which Bernie loves to support. The tournament for Bernie was a chance for those Veterans to thank him and celebrate his love for the game.

Ferrari has just officially unveiled its first ever all-electric car, called the Ferrari Luce. • Starting price: $640,000 • Interior co-designed with Apple's former head of design, Jony Ive • Range: 280 miles (expected EPA) • Peak charging speed: 350kW • 122 kWh battery • 1,050 horsepower • 0-60mph: 2.4s • 800v • Four-door four-seater • Four electric motors • OLED screens • Weight: 4,982 lbs • Front motors spin to 30,000 rpm, rears hit 25,500 rpm • Car uses an accelerometer to capture real vibrations from the electric motors & rear chassis. An algorithm filters out unpleasant frequencies and amplifies only the more “musical” sounds. This can be heard inside and outside the car. • Paddle shifter on steering wheel changes how aggressively torque is delivered, with five different levels • The trunk has 21.1 cubic feet of space, the largest luggage capacity the company has ever offered • 197.6 inches long, about as long as a Tesla Model S U.S. deliveries start in Q2 2027. @MarkLazerus Lol this is a joke. Seeing Necas try to rush it up thru the blue line made me realize 29 is the true MVP. Because they’re a bad bad team without him.

Jared Bednar said that even if all Nathan MacKinnon can do is play on the power play and in empty-net situations, he'd still take that over anybody else. Hard to imagine MacKinnon doesn't at least try to cut it out in Game 4.

This is a great business idea. So many people don’t want to go to a gym where there’s other people and like the convenience of working out at home. So a gym-on-wheels it is!

Back to back games in control with a lead and lost, series should be 2-1 Avalanche but stupid coaching decisions and defensive breakdowns during clutch time has Colorado facing elimination. Collapsed in game 7 last year. All three should have been wins. It's unacceptable.

@SoCalAvsFan Lightning have been to 3 cups and won 1… Avs have been to the second round 1 time. Bednar has shown time and time again that he can’t adjust… it’s time.

So I've been seeing a lot of this. And this time from large talking heads. My question is this. How does Jon Cooper go out in the first round 4 years in a row and there's not a question about him returning .. the continuity is missing in this league. Who would take over. 36 year old Carle??? With this group ??? Another retread ?? Passssss

I don’t know if Jared Bednar will be back after this. Wouldn’t shock me to see them move on #GoAvsGo

@SoCalAvsFan Trade some of that scoring for a real goalie and toughness. All Avs do is look for more scoring and it doesn't play out in playoffs

Wedgewood wasn't good enough. Another lost year to poor goaltending. Shame. Worst thing was him getting hot at the end and taking away the job from our starter. Gonna always wonder how things would've been with blacky. I'm telling ya. Gonna take months to get over this.
