Battery is intentionally causing bodily harm or offensive physical contact. The point here is the intent, which is an element of the crime. If you cannot prove the intent, you cannot prove the crime. You and I both know that the kid pushed the other kid's head down deliberately, but us "knowing" it and proving it in court are two very different things. Additionally, prosecutor's rarely prosecute offensive physical contact without intent to cause harm if the contact was not of a sexual nature.

I know this might not be popular but I'm okay with this. Be ready to take the knockout swing from behind if you shove somebody's head into the mat after the whistle.

One of these is arguably not very sportsmanlike. The other is criminal battery that is neither ethically nor legally justified by the first one. If that were my son, I would be filing a criminal complaint against the other child, suing his parents, and doing everything in my power to ensure that he never got to compete in competitive school sports again.

Big acquisition seldom fetch a top prospect. Timo Meier did not cost NJ Mercer, Nemec, or Luke Hughes. Fiala did not cost LA Byfield or Clarke We wanted Spencer Knight for Reinhart. We wanted Brendan Brisson in the Eichel deal. We wanted Kyrou or Thomas for ROR.
