Today is Nakba Day, a day of remembrance of the atrocities, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement Palestinians suffered at the hands of Zionist forces which led to the creation of Israel: 30+ massacres committed by Zionist militias killing at least 15,000 Palestinians. 530 Palestinian villages destroyed, over 750,000 Palestinians forced to flee the ethnic cleansing and the state of Israel declared on 78% of historic Palestine🇵🇸. By the end of 1948, two-thirds of the Palestinian population were exiled. Here is a recounting of one of the worst massacres during the Nakba; the Deir Yassin Massacre, in which Zionist forces threw children into ovens.

Today is the 78th commemoration of the Nakba. In 1948, Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their land, with thousands of people killed and over 500 villages completely destroyed.
We have seen that the violence and dispossession by the genocidal, apartheid, terrorist State of Israel against the Palestinian people continues with illegal settlements in the West Bank and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Israel is also continuing the violence, illegal occupation and dispossession in Lebanon.
Countries like Australia must take action, stopping the two-way arms trade with Israel and imposing sanctions. Boycott, divest and sanction. No justice, no peace.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
