@AnglosaxonBlack @BrianAtlas Especially when you have the convenience of never having to live up to them lol

@JWK00 @BrianAtlas Having principles is often inconvenient.

@Navydoc2232 @BrianAtlas The ones that bring up the draft are the same as the ones that say they almost joined. It's a way of dealing with their insecurity.
English

@BrianAtlas It’s just the selective service. Nothing different than before. I served 05-13, signed up when I was 17. I don’t see an actual draft being implemented unless majority of armed forces are wiped out and half the world’s population is gone. An actual world war

@zerohedge Cant wait to see the movie. I imagine Peter Berg or Steven Spielberg will direct.
If we’re lucky, Bigelow will get the nod.

The government remains committed to bringing the first Disneyland theme park to Southeast Asia as part of the EEC Capital City project, with potential investors from the Middle East already indicating interest in becoming partners.

I wonder what happened? Was it scheduled? He died before he could shoot it? Change of plan?

For a Hapkido guy Ji Han Jae's kicks were awful. Whang In Sik was the obvious choice, he had THE spinning hook kick, which he showed off in Hapkido (1972). Bruce visited the set, and I bet he was obsessed with that kick. Maybe ego took over, and Bruce hired Ji.

@sarahlol1863603 @mattforney If you've spent a lot of time in Thailand then you would have surely seen sticky rice which is served with almost every E-saan meal and eaten with hands.
English

@mattforney Can confirm, have spent tons of time in Thailand cause I have Thai relatives by marriage and also Thailand rules. Street food vendors give you plastic cutlery or chopsticks for anything that's not a sandwich or a bun
English

I lived in Asia and I never, not once, saw anyone eating rice with their hands, and if you tried eating rice with your hands, people would look at you like you're mentally ill.
You retard.

@Ken_LoveTW Singapore’s fun is compact and high-density.
Eat at Lau Pa Sat, catch skyline views at Marina Bay Sands, explore culture in Chinatown and Little India, then unwind on Sentosa.
It’s not vast like Japan—it’s curated, efficient, and intense.
English

Singapore is incredibly efficient. Clean, safe, well-run. No debate there.
But Japan offers something different on top of that.
It’s not just orderly. It’s layered, diverse, and endlessly interesting.
Tokyo alone has more Michelin-star restaurants than most countries. Then you add Osaka’s street food culture, Fukuoka’s ramen scene, Hokkaido seafood, Kyoto kaiseki, regional specialties from every prefecture…
And that’s before you even talk about:
Four distinct seasons
Mountains, ski resorts, tropical islands
Ancient temples next to neon megacities
Pop culture, anime districts, underground jazz bars
How do you have fun in Singapore?

@flogdonkey @Lewbr2010 @TaraBull Maybe the Navy's different. Was in the army when they made the transition from black to tan boots.
English

@JWK00 @Lewbr2010 @TaraBull That's crazy they issue them now. Used to have to buy them. 30 years ago, they issued leathers. Most uncomfortable footwear ever, except boondockers of course.
English

@flogdonkey @Lewbr2010 @TaraBull Fair enough but that's what was issued and what most had. Never knew anyone that had different
English

@Tigerbarr1 @Lewbr2010 @TaraBull You don't shine these. Maybe not the new brown ones in the army, I got out in 07, but the days of shining boots every night is long gone
