The Kickstarter ploy here is what's gross. Last year at a Formnext party, a Chinese founder was bragging after a few drinks that he got his factory and land free from the government, I just checked, of course they ran a KS too 🤦 The playbook is simple: wait until the new tech has all the dead ends solved, start a company, take the subsidies and tax breaks, and milk the Western community. The new Creality IPO paperwork is a rare glimpse into how this works, if anyone wants to dig. But it is very surface level. For deeper research into this topic you'll need a Chinese phone, bank account, etc to access most of the source. Because of course - no one can fact check this way or if local, get into trouble 😬 (My father couldn't even study before '89, the communists took our family's property two generations earlier.) Since I started saying publicly that we're researching this, a lot of previously public documents have quietly disappeared 🤔 The CCP state support worked too well. In the last 6 years the desktop market got wiped, 95% China, the remaining 5% is Prusa. The billions being dumped into it are not just for the benefit of the Western consumer. I should do a longer write up after Makerfaire Prague! BTW It would be too funny if these are the guys we caught in our locked private room checking the CORE One INDX prototype the night before the Formnext reveal 🤣

3D PRINT FARM UPDATE: End cap command center is operational on Rack 1 now. Still need to finish ventilation and route overhead umbilical but really digging how this is coming along...

Who is actually ok with this?! Stayed at a hotel last month where the front desk worker was a telepresence station and I HATED it. Classic case of "just because you can doesn't mean you should." Automation may have its place but hospitality and healthcare AINT IT.🤨

I personally don’t know how much support and design they assisted bondtech with, but it seems like they exceeded a standard integrator based of what I’ve read. Either way, I believe Prusa and bondtech will come out with the level of collaboration in more detail. In my opinion, they certainly are better for bondtech technology and bondtech is better for Prusa being apart of them. But I hear what you’re saying.

@JWNerdLife @tommy_prusa3d @reprinted3D @BondtechAB @Prusa3D I definitely love the collaboration, but if definitely seems more like Prusa is trying to take equal credit for INDX as opposed to just being a great integrator of the tool. I don't want to undersell how much I like what they're doing, but I don't want them overselling it.

Update on my @Prusa3D #XL5T: Got the new dwarf boards and cables installed. The printer flashed the swarf boards the first time I turned it back on after doing that. So it was on to the calibrations. The first one I was asked to do was the fan calibration, and that one failed. After I closed that message, a second one I've never seen before popped up (picture #2). Not wanting to open another can of worms until I hear back from Prusa, I pressed the skip button, and proceeded to the load cell calibration, which passed! 🎉 (more⬇️)

@reprinted3D @3D_Orville @BondtechAB @Prusa3D The INDX toolhead is Bondtech's design, but integration into our system along with many of the related systems is what we've been working on. It's been an awesome cooperation though, and the developers from both sides have been putting in a ton of work

The secret is drinking 3 espresso and eating all the Haribo at once to unlock turbo mode.

8 more CoreOne+ going together today. Something highly satisfying about doing parallel assembly. Boring to many maybe but step 0 is a few hrs of unboxing everything, prep and workflow. Pays massive dividends in how fast they all go together in the aggregate though.
