Purdue knows exactly who they are. Smith runs everything and all the guys on the floor know it. A bunch of guys who know their roles and that is huge for them. Nobody tries to be who they aren’t. Painter runs the type of program anyone that knows anything wants.

Players often get confused when they want to achieve a quicker release A quicker release is .. •Being Shot ready before you get the ball (hands ready, butt down, chest up, feet ready) •Dipping quickly and smoothly (Love the no dip for advanced shooters) •Being on balance & snapping your follow thru A quicker release is NOT .. •Trying to shoot it before you even catch it •Not holding your follow thru •Fading away and being off balance “Be quick, not in a hurry”

Not a lot of dribbling in the NCAA tournament. A ton of CATCH AND SHOOT jumpers though — maybe go work on that more than anything. Not sure how any player that is serious about improving & wanting to play at a high level doesn’t want to go shoot right now
