I have been involved in KS politics for over 40 years, most recently as a local elected official. I have known Adam for about 20 years. This interview was conducted before Adam declared his candidacy. I was shocked he even answered the questions at all and pretty sure he was unaware he was being recorded. He was just being nice to the young man. Kansas has not elected a Dem to the US Senate since 1932 and the odds of anyone breaking that streak are slim and none. Having said that, If ANYONE can do it, it’s Adam. All I’m saying is—Don’t sleep on this guy. He is formidable and EXTREMELY likable AND smart. Marshall is not very likable and if he makes a couple of mistakes could lose to Adam. If Adam gets the nomination (very likely) and is within 5 points of Marshall in October, expect A LOT of money to pour into Kansas from Dem coffers.
