@DrShayPhD The Catholic Church has been around for 2000 years. Seventh Day Adventism, on the contrary, is less than 200 years old. It’s schism of a schism of the Protestant revolt.

Catholic Church: We are the largest church. The Bible: The remnant church is going home with Jesus. Biblical Definition of Remnant: The minority. A small faithful group of believers that stay true to God’s Word, when the majority of the world turns away.

@DrShayPhD 2/ The Eucharistic is a supernatural/Sacramental mystery. Christ is truly present in the Eucharist. 2,000 years teaching. In Matt 26, Jesus holds up the bread and says,”Take and eat, for this is My Body.” Well, was it truly His body or was Jesus pulling their legs?

@DrShayPhD That’s your interpretation. Jesus was speaking both literally and spiritually NOT metaphorically. Spirit doesn’t refer to figurative speech. When Christ told the Samaritan that God is Spirit, did He mean He was a figure of speech? Spirit, in John 6, means supernatural. 1/

@Tawadros15 @DrShayPhD When Napoleon told a Cardinal he could destroy the Catholic Church, the priest reply to him,”Your Majesty, we, the Catholic clergy, have done our best to destroy the Church for the last 1,800 years. We have not succeeded, and neither will you".

@DrShayPhD "I'm finally going to destroy the Catholic Church" Said you and about a million other people over 2,000 years and all of them have failed. They're dead, their works forgotten and the Church is still here. Jesus Christ is still alive.

I began researching the Catholic Church [and by extension, the Papacy] years ago for a book. I applied all my doctoral-level research training: analyzing case studies, historical records, peer-reviewed journals, library archives, and even reviewing hours of newspaper clippings on microfiche. What I uncovered was and is deeply troubling. In all sincerity, I place papal Rome on a level comparable to some of the worst terror organizations. Yes, as far as brainwashing, indoctrinating, conditioning, programming, manipulating members, and bloodshed. At the same time, I see the genuine ignorance of its members and feel sympathy for them. If they truly understood what I have uncovered, the Catholic Church would have far fewer followers, I assure you. I cannot tell you the name of my book just yet, but it is coming out very soon.

If abortion is "playing God," so is chemo, insulin, and C-sections. Funny how only women's medical choices get called sacrilegious.

An entire store of Black people watched as a violent Black man ROBBED and ATTACKED a White man. A Black lady recorded and laughed. The White man repeated, “I am just trying to get to work,” as the Black man emptied the White man’s pockets and put him in a headlock. The White man works for it; the Black man feels entitled to it even with force.

@DrShayPhD @grok @JUDE_HOLYCROSS “Truly, truly I tell you, my flesh is true food indeed, and my blood true drink.” His “words are Spirit…” is not a metaphor. God is *Spirit*. Does that make God a metaphor or figure of speech? Or is He really and truly Spirit?

Thank you!! Exactly!! That's all. Thank you again!! The Bible says what it says. Bread is bread, wine is wine, Christ’s words are spirit and life. Nothing in Scripture says the substance changes, nothing explains a “how.” All the fancy theology, the transubstantiation talk, comes from tradition, not the text. The words stand as written. Period. Thank you. You may go.

@DrShayPhD @Bilo888 That’s what you get with Sola Scriptura - each person interprets the Bible the way he wants to. There is no infallible authority to decide which interpretation is true. So, each individual using his own private interpretation becomes his own pope, magisterium, & church.

Facts are not dumb just because they hurt your tradition. Peter was Jewish. Peter was married. Peter kept Jewish customs. Peter preached Christ. Pagan Rome killed him. Now show me where Scripture says Peter became Roman Catholic pope. You can insult me after you find the verse.

Peter was Jewish. He was married. The Bible does not hide that. His name was Simon [Matthew 16:17]. He came from Bethsaida in Galilee [John 1:44]. His brother Andrew followed John the Baptist [John 1:35–40]. Peter also lived by Jewish customs. In Acts 10, God had to give him a vision before he would even go to the Gentiles [Acts 10:9–16, 28]. Later, Paul corrected him for pulling back from Gentile believers because of pressure from Jews [Galatians 2:11–14]. Pagan Rome, under Nero, crucified Peter, upside-down because Peter was preaching the Gospel of Christ and Christians were seen as a threat. After the Great Fire of Rome in AD 64, Nero blamed Christians to shift suspicion away from himself. Christians refused emperor worship, preached another King, Jesus Christ, and refused to bow to Rome’s gods. That made them look dangerous to a pagan empire. Peter was not killed because Rome loved him or made him pope. Rome killed him because he preached Christ. Peter was not Roman Catholic. He was a Jewish apostle who followed the Jewish Messiah to his death.

@DrShayPhD @loki3729 @Pontifex “And I say that you are Rock and on this rock, I will build my Church.” That’s how it would sound in Aramaic or French. Christ made him the chief Shepherd here on earth to rule in His stead. Guided by the Holy Spirit, of course.

@DrShayPhD @CatholicReplyH Well, Christ gave him the keys to the kingdom, which is to be in charge of the Church here on earth. Because after Jesus ascended, He (JC) needed a Prime Minister or an authority in His “absence” here on earth.

@CatholicReplyH Calling the pope Christ’s “visible vicar” is still giving one man a role the Bible never gives him. Show the verse. Harmony with Scripture is fine. Harmony with Rome over Scripture is the problem.

@DrShayPhD @polihome2025 He is infallible when he speaks ex cathedra (in union with the bishops on matters of faith, morals). IOW, from the chair of Peter, he cannot teach incorrect or erroneous doctrine that would contradict 2000 year church teaching. He is prevented by the Holy Spirit.

@Skint_Eastwood1 Atheism is a belief system. To reject God leads to a belief in a materialistic universe - where all that exists is matter. Hence, he wouldn’t believe in his own mind (not the brain), which is *immaterial* just as our thoughts are. Also, the world would be unintelligible.

Ricky Gervais Drops Truth Bombs on Stephen Colbert in Epic Religion Debate 🔥 “There are about 3,000 gods. You believe in one, so you don’t believe in 2,999 gods… and I don’t believe in just one more.” And on science vs religion: “If we took any holy book or any fiction and destroyed it, in a thousand years it wouldn’t come back just as it was. Whereas if we took every science book and fact and destroyed them all, in a thousand years they’d all be back, because the same tests would give the same results.” Colbert’s reaction? “That’s good… That’s really good.” Ricky is brilliant, always calm and explains his points so well. Respectful debate done right. 👏🏻
