@DaddyTwinzz This is the character of AirPeace, even in local flights they do the same, with zero recourse to the passengers, they need to up their service. At least take your customers to a hotel or OK place na

This is another means to demarket the business of an Igbo man. The reason for the delayed flight was announced in the airport but some Nigerians will come online to drag Air Peace. Sometimes international flights experience delays, and the airline will definitely compensate. Funke Akindele should exercise some patience, afterall she's patient with Tinubu.
Funke Akindele@funkeakindele

Air Peace, this is unacceptable. Passengers (including elderly people) have been stranded since 6:30AM at London Gatwick Airport with no proper communication. After hours of delay, we were told there was a bird strike and promised a hotel. Hours later, people are still sitting at baggage claim hungry, exhausted, and without their bags. Elderly passengers are struggling. Families are tired. No clear updates. No support. Release passengers’ luggage immediately and provide the hotel you promised. Do something NOW. @flyairpeace

PRESS STATEMENT AIR PEACE CLARIFIES GATWICK–LAGOS DISRUPTION, REAFFIRMS PASSENGER CARE AND SAFETY COMMITMENT Our attention has been drawn to a video making the rounds on social media alleging that passengers on our London (Gatwick) to Lagos service today, May 1, 2026, were stranded without communication and provision of necessary care. We would like to provide clarity on the situation, as this narrative does not accurately reflect the full circumstances surrounding the disruption. The affected flight experienced a bird strike, which is a recognised "force majeure" event in aviation, necessitating the immediate grounding of the aircraft for comprehensive safety inspections in line with global aviation standards. At Air Peace, safety is not negotiable, and under no circumstance would we operate an aircraft without the required safety clearance. Following this development, affected passengers were promptly informed of the incident and the cancellation of the service, and arrangements were made for their comfort, including hotel accommodation at the Hilton Hotel in London, Gatwick as well as necessary transit coordination. However, we encountered additional operational constraints, including airport congestion and delays from ground handling services responsible for baggage retrieval. These factors affected the timely retrieval of passengers’ checked baggage, which in turn impacted the speed at which some passengers were transferred to their hotels It is important to note that baggage handling at international airports is managed by designated ground handling companies, operating within strict airport procedures and regulatory protocols. As such, Air Peace does not exercise direct control over these processes, and all baggage retrieval must follow established due process. At no point were passengers abandoned. Communication was maintained with all affected passengers, and every effort was made to ensure their welfare throughout the disruption. We can confirm that all passengers were offered hotel accommodation at the Hilton London Gatwick, and those who elected to accept have now been accommodated, while we finalise arrangements for the deployment of another aircraft to complete the service. We recognise that aviation disruptions can be distressing, and we remain empathetic to the inconvenience experienced by our esteemed passengers. However, it is important to emphasise that aviation operations are not “plug and play.” They involve multiple stakeholders, layered safety protocols, and strict regulatory compliance, particularly in situations involving force majeure events such as bird strikes. While we respect the right of passengers to express their concerns, we find the ongoing negative hounding of our airline over a safety-driven, force majeure incident to be shocking and unwarranted, especially in light of the timely announcements and necessary updates made by the Captain of the flight to all affected passengers, as well as the responsible and proactive steps taken to ensure passenger safety, communication, and overall care throughout the disruption. Air Peace remains steadfast in its commitment to the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of our passengers, and we will continue to review our processes to further enhance our service delivery during unforeseen disruptions. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our passengers and the flying public. SIGNED MANAGEMENT Air Peace Limited

Dr. Reuben Abati is a fifth columnist. He is with ‘The Establishment’ we seek to dismantle. Each time young resourceful Nigerians tried to move forward, Reuben had other ideas. He holds brief for INEC Chairman & Remi Tinubu. He gives Asiwaju & the Judiciary the soft landing they so desperately need. The only person he holds in contempt is Wike. There is no love lost between both ‘temperamental’ men. They like to be feared, & they show it. Dr. Reuben downplays Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan’s complicity, he dismissed his past ‘partisan’ tweets outrightly. He called them a figment of AI & hacking. “Dr. Rueben” as he likes to be called is not with the masses. He is with Asiwaju & The Establishment. Rufai Oseni has had to confront him on many occasions. Reuben must be advised to speak to young Nigerians with respect. We are not his disappointing children. He thinks he is better than the young fighting for their country ‘one day at a time?’ And where are his children? Tucked away in the UK of course! Despite his braggadocio on television, I’m not sure any of his sons is as educated as we are. An obvious Agbado & a fifth columnist on TV. We won’t be cowed by an uncanny elder with corn in his pocket. Nigeria is ours to plough, not to plunder. And if he has any decency left inside, then he should reflect on these words. Perhaps — retrace his steps. We are here to enthrone rectitude. What turpitude destroyed, let rectitude restore. We won’t be bullied to silence. Mr Rueben, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN !!
BLESSED 🥷@Dee_9889

Dr. Abbati: Do you still think there is enough time to review and amend the Electoral Act, or should we just run with it as it is until after the 2027 election? Mike Igini: Why board a plane that you know is going to crash? ✈️

STOP LYING TO NIGERIANS As a criminologist and forensic analyst, I approach issues like this with one guiding principle: evidence must be independent, verifiable, and free from self interest. That is the foundation of justice anywhere in the world. Let me be honest and very clear, my support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a person does not blind me to institutional failure. Loyalty must never override truth. What we are witnessing in this Independent National Electoral Commission leadership drama is not just disappointing, it is intellectually insulting. Nemo judex in causa sua! Haba! You cannot be a judge in your own cause. From a forensic standpoint, the so called internal investigation raises more red flags than it resolves. When an individual or institution is accused of misconduct, conducts and validates its own findings without independent oversight, the outcome is inherently compromised. That is not analysis. That is damage control dressed as procedure. Was the phone number fabricated? Was the email address also fabricated? What about the linked authentication systems? Was the two factor authentication magically nonexistent? NIN nko? Digital forensics does not operate on assumptions or convenient narratives. Every digital footprint leaves a trail, phone numbers, authentication logs, device signatures, IP records, all traceable through independent verification. So why has there been no transparent request to X Corp. for official account verification? Any competent legal mind would immediately initiate formal correspondence with the platform to obtain authenticated records which I can effortlessly obtain from the United States if I choose to be an independent complainant and a party with a court order, period!!!! Instead, we are presented with conclusions without process, answers without evidence, and certainty without scrutiny. From a criminological perspective, this is a classic case of conflict of interest undermining investigative integrity. Frankly, this entire situation could have been handled with far more dignity. A simple admission that the account existed, that the comments were made in a different context and were neither divisive nor consequential, would have preserved both credibility and public trust, as seen when public figures like Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio take a more human approach in moments of controversy. But what we cannot accept is the mockery of institutional intelligence. You cannot accuse someone of wrongdoing and then hand them the tools to investigate themselves. That is not justice, that is theatre. Nigeria deserves better. An independent forensic audit is not optional, it is necessary. Until that happens, every conclusion remains questionable, every claim remains weak, and every attempt at closure remains premature. Accountability is not an attack. Integrity is not opposition. They are the pillars of leadership. Without them, we are simply rehearsing dysfunction. Please, let me know the next leader you think we should prescribe AGBO WEREY for, ojare!!! Fourth, the self-exoneration tries to be clever by half by inverting the strongest circumstantial evidence that Amupitan tried to cover his tracks after he was caught pants down. The report said the change of the account’s name and locking it from public view after the partisan tweets were discovered was damage control by an impersonator. Hahaha! That was funny. These INEC “forensic experts” would have better success as comedians than as forensic analysts. Anyone who is not a silly comedian knows that the most plausible interpretation of that action is that it is panicky, retroactive distancing by the original operator once scrutiny intensified. Fifth, the fact that multiple fake accounts sprouted in Amupitan’s name after he was announced as INEC chairman says nothing about the authenticity of the X account he created in September 2022 when he was a barely known professor vegetating in obscurity. There were no multiple accounts in his name before he was appointed INEC chairman. Finally, the threat to arrest and prosecute people who outed Amupitan introduces a frighteningly dictatorial element. That is an example of what in the United States we call a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP). As I have pointed out in many previous columns, SLAPP is a type of frivolous lawsuit whose ultimate goal is to intimidate critics into silence and self-censorship, not necessarily to seek redress for intentional injury to reputation because, in the case of Amupitan, there is, in fact, no basis to seek any redress since all evidence points to the fact that he did write the tweets he is denying. When an institution under scrutiny moves quickly from denial to criminalization, it usually signals an attempt to paper over guilt. Related Articles:
