@hxg_diluc I think it’s meaningful in itself that EN has chosen to use “he” multiple times now for Phanes. Unless the localizers are completely butchering HYV’s intentions when it comes to such a major character, “he” might as well work for our purposes, at least in the English language.

It's 它 "it" in cn, for animals/non-living objects. No gender specified.
