It was the last day with my Health and the Law students @MakerereLaw this year, and they surprised me with a beautiful bag and portrait. It was small class and so we all got to know each other well! As they are finalists, I hope, as lawyers, they get to live what we have learnt.

Today, we laid to rest a gallant member of our team, Ricky Otim, at his ancestral home in Gulu City!
Ricky was a young, vibrant soul, so full of life, whose diligence and friendliness we will miss as the Absa Family.
Our thoughts remain with Ricky’s family, friends, and all colleagues, and we continue to pray for God’s strength and comfort.
Rest well, Ricky.

@NzeEllah Not even close, they want to pass their law, that was a demonstration of "foreign influence money" entering the country and economy.
English

No one is rich enough in this country or region to place $10m in a container without the government knowing, that person has very good discernment to know this, they were watching that money from the day they loaded it, if they'd taken the bribe with a wrong name, simanyi nakumanya.

Rejecting 300M UGX is not something easy, how would one reject that money, like come on, they are bribing you, take it and repent later😭😂

Our uniform alone is 55k, boot is 60k and we pay for them with our money…Same with helmet and bull£t proof vest. I spent 4 years,9months in Maiduguri even though they told us it’ll be 2 years. Good morning to you all.
In case you didn’t know about KIU, let me give you a clear picture.
This small private university has branches in Kampala and in Ishaka, Bushenyi. It should not really be called a university at all. At most, it is a technical school or an institute. It's owned by NRM mafia in western Uganda who also is a CEC member in that fake political party. Those are are in opposition you know what he did in the last ended elections.
It offers many different courses, from medicine to social sciences and business studies. However, the way these courses are run is often confusing and not well managed.
Between 2007 and 2013, when the university was still marketing itself in western Uganda, it purposely admitted students who had failed their A-level exams. These students paid a lot of money during their studies. At the end of the course, many were chased away with the claim that they had failed A-level.
Later, the university changed its methods. It began admitting students who did not qualify for certain courses. For example, it accepted students with only 4 points into programs like medicine or law. It also admitted students who had studied BCM or PCB into courses like Bachelor of Science in Statistics.
Let us talk about the bursaries offered by this university. For every intake — and they have three intakes each year — they promise bursaries to districts and sub-counties in western Uganda to attract more students. Most of these are half bursaries. However, these bursaries are often empty promises that exist only on paper. By the end of the course, the money students on bursaries pay as bribes to stay in the scheme is far more than what other students pay. Bursaries are sold like kidneys. If you refuse to pay the bribes, you are punished with retakes or forced to repeat entire years.
The university’s fee structure is very strict. Many students have even killed themselves because of it. Last year alone, two or three students took their own lives simply because they were denied entry to examination rooms due to unpaid debts. In may 2025 a 20 year old first year nursing students named Johnmary Lukoma was found hanging from a tree near the male hostel at the western branch and nothing was done because of the roots of the owners
The policy says a student must complete 100 percent of the tuition fees before sitting for exams. This is impossible for many students. As a result, the number of students missing exams or doing retakes at this technical school is now more than the number of students admitted in the January intake.
From exploring the heights to stressing and killing innocent children
