To me, personalisation in outreach has more to do with good prospecting than with the pitch.
If I send the right story to the right person, I'm showing that:

I don’t actually know what people mean when they say personalised. Like what, you write their name “Hi Jake”? Or you personalise it by sending a regional journo a regional angle for their publication? Should be doing those things anyway.
