My research currently suggests that it’s not so much about the type of personality you have, but how you use your personality to create effective relationships. Successful coach-athlete relationships will result in high-performance outcomes for all.

Half decent graphic for sports coaches on personality traits… Could be useful to develop processes in a game that help players engage with: -moderate neuroticism (volatility): controlled aggression… -low agreeableness (compassion): eliminate the threat -high conscientiousness (orderliness): execute tactically -moderate to high extraversion (assertiveness): explore the environment with authority -moderate openness (experience): look for creative opportunities Coaches would do well to read Dan McAdams and Colin DeYoung on this subject
