@darkestchiildz It's not about "making" Koreans do anything, it's like the same as how Korean fried chicken was created bc of black American soldiers there. the influence spreads regardless of how people feel about it without being inherently theft

black americans do not hold the level of imperial and systemic power that non-black americans think they do, i don’t know why that’s so hard for people to understand. black people are not making koreans copy and steal their music.

@elenitsunonini I think the original poster was onto something, they just fucked it up by implying that Black Americans were forcing their culture onto Korea during the Cold War, which was impossible.

I'm not saying it's justified, but this nuance is missing from the entire discourse.
