Marcus Freeman says Jaden Greathouse is getting closer to returning to action (hamstring). "He wants to be out there every play, but we've got to be smart with his progression back."

@VladtheBuilderr @AndrewStoeten When Ernie Clement originally signed with the Jays in 2023, you could have made a lot of money betting he would one day have a banner hanging outside the stadium

ICYMI, I recently had thoughts on the Star’s choice to, rather than enlighten and inform, validate fans’ worst, dumbest instincts by continuing to platform a lazy moron having a decade-long tantrum as though her know-nothing bad faith commentary has value. stoeten.substack.com/p/stray-though…

71% of Waterloo software engineering grads leave for the US. The brain drain damage threshold is 20%. Canada is at 3x the red line. Think about that. Canada taxes its people at 60% in part to fund a university system to train its best and brightest to flee the country and make the US GDP spike. Who is spiking US GDP at the moment? All the Canadians working for Anthropic and OpenAI in AI. How crazy is that? What do the Canadian tax payers get for their generosity out of this?

NEWS: The Trump administration confirmed it bombed a girl’s school in Iran. It's one of the most devastating military errors in decades. Trump lied about it. Pete Hegseth gutted the office preventing civilian casualties. 175 are dead. Most were kids. Hegseth should be fired.

@TallCanAudio @AndrewStoeten James Duthie is the natural heir apparent to Ron McLean’s ability to make inane small talk for hours on end…or maybe it’s as simple as there’s only so much Nick Kypreos one person can take.

This has to be absolutely maddening for the people paying billions to be the national rights holder for the nhl in Canada. Friedman broke 3x as many deals as anyone else, Sportsnet has had the rights for over a decade and still at every one of these events people flock to TSN.
TSN PR@TSN_PR

TSN’s #TradeCentre special was the prime destination for hockey fans on NHL Trade Deadline day. @TSN_Sports’ live special reached a total of 1.3 million unique Canadian viewers, +48% more than the network's closest competitor. Read more on @TheLede_CA: thelede.ca/erph4p

@telefontelaviv @AndrewStoeten Like almost everyone else who grew up in the 80s, my introduction to Herbie Hancock was “Rockit”. When I started getting into jazz music later on, it completely blew me away to find out he’s one of the greatest jazz pianists ever.

“The unexpected beneficiaries who reclaimed the most travel time were suburban drivers.“ Read this and weep, Toronto. Our traffic woes are solvable with relatively simple policy changes that just take…political will and Provincial coordination. Congestion Pricing is a simple, proven, conservative principle of traffic management. Unfortunately it’s not a Big Shiny Thing - just a real solution that doesn’t cost anything and even generates revenue.

@jen_keesmaat Jen, I wonder if you understand a lot of the resistance to this is that we pay too much tax to begin with. Congestion pricing would work, but it would another cost to people. We already pay waaaay too much.
