The Pentagon's legal justification is, if the military has ever used a piece of civilian infrastructure, it's a valid target. Before expanding the target list to civilian infrastructure, Hegseth gutted the Pentagon office responsible for flagging civilian harm from 200 employees to fewer than 40. They removed the people whose job it was to say "don't bomb that, civilians use it" and then started bombing things civilians use. This is their playbook for the past year and a half. Geneva Academy experts are warning this meets the threshold for war crimes prosecution. International humanitarian law requires the military advantage to be proportional to civilian harm. Destroying a city's water supply is not proportional. Nobody voted for this. In fact, we voted for the opposite of this. JUST IN - CENTCOM gives an update on the missing service member in Jordan, says they have found "unidentified remains," that are being examined and verified. Another service member was killed, and 1 wounded in Iraq during a "controlled detonation," of a downed Iranian drone.

I'm confused. The USA has the most powerful military on Earth. We've bombed the HELL out of Iran for 4 months. Trump says their Air Force, Navy, and nearly all of their missile capabilities are destroyed. ...so how is Iran still capable of hitting US bases right now???

⚡️🚨 US Central Command says a US soldier was killed and another injured in northern Iraq during an operation to dismantle an Iranian suicide drone; a third body has now been found at a related strike site in Jordan, with identification underway. Tonight we will have to hit Iran hard in response to our troops being killed in Jordan. After that, we need to end this before it escalates further. Strike & simultaneously pull our forces out—remove Iran’s leverage and move on to economic negotiations. Restore order.
