Another reason why this Arsenal “title” will go down as the worst in history and the least respected. If Set pieces and boring, soul-sucking football, diving, time-wasting weren't enough they are straight-up taking cheating to the next level by pulling their players from international duty like absolute cowards (Never done before) A diabolical, classless circus run by complete morons. Congratulations, @Arsenal you’ve actually made winning look embarrassing

@mitch_fretton Why would you want some of Englands best players to sit in the bench because they’re not playing a friendly against Japan 😂 do you know what happens behind the scenes? Tuchel probably said they could go

@InvertTheWing Maybe Tuchel told them they could go as they’re nailed on starters anyway and he’s probably not going to play them in a friendly against Japan… 🤷‍♂️

So - not only did #Farage lie about not being allowed to be on in an MP’s own constituency, but now it appears #BBCQT has lied to try to justify his lie?? Someone’s head should roll at the BBC for this! It damages what little trust there is left for BBC impartiality - we see them blatantly pandering to Nigel Farage, spinning “longstanding policies,” and LEAPING to his defence the moment he’s challenged. This is funded by licence fee payers - its unacceptable to show blatant bias like this.

Good illustration of why class and race are a double hurdle: A 35-year old Black TV personality, seemingly fluent only in 'road', and displaying a similar grasp of affairs to Skinner, wouldn't be platformed on Question Time. Except as Dizzee Rascal on Newsnight style parody.

Stormzy was on The Andrew Marr Show, Akala Question Time, Lowkey Politics Live, and Dave was on Newsnight just to name a few. This is what happens when narrative replaces reality. This tweet isn’t just wrong it’s structurally wrong. A collection of claims stitched together to sound coherent, while ignoring basic facts. This isn’t analysis. It’s storytelling with errors.

@brucemillington But this isn’t a meaningful match? So I guess trying out fringe players makes sense? Especially when most nailed in starters aren’t available for this game…

Given how close we are to the World Cup this selection is completely insane. Has Tuchel actually been watching any football? I wouldn’t start any of these in a meaningful match and wouldn’t have a lot of them in the squad. Tuchel out.

People can live here, work here, pay taxes here… but aren’t allowed to read election material in a language they actually understand? My parents came from India. They couldn’t read English when they arrived. By this logic, they’d be expected to fund a system they’re locked out of participating ? STOP this racist claptrap

The "Britain was built by immigrants" narrative is a modern political invention that collapses under the weight of actual genetic and historical data. It relies on a fundamental misunderstanding of how the British population was formed and maintained for thousands of years. The primary genetic ancestry of the British people arrived 4,500 years ago (2500 BC) from the arrival of the Bell-Beakers. This Bronze Age population remains the dominant DNA profile of native Britons today. While the Romans and Normans conquered the political elite, they left almost zero genetic trace on the general population. The Anglo-Saxon genetic contribution (25-45% in the East) occurred over 1,500 years ago, creating a stable baseline that lasted for a millennium. The 1,000-Year Stability From the Norman Conquest in 1066, which only had a genetic impact of around 2% until 1948, Britain was one of the most genetically and culturally homogeneous nations on Earth. Since the Bell-Beakers 4500 years ago, there were no demographic events large enough to significantly alter the national DNA. Minor groups like the Huguenots or Flemish weavers were numerically tiny, representing less than 1% of the population, and were rapidly absorbed into the existing ethnic fabric. The institutions and infrastructure that define Britain, Common Law, the Parliamentary system, and the Industrial Revolution were developed during this long period of homogeneity. The railways, canals, and cities of the 18th and 19th centuries were constructed by the indigenous English, Scottish, Irish, and Welsh populations. To compare the Bell-Beaker and Anglo-Saxon prehistoric population shifts at a time when there were no nations, borders, governments, laws, visas, or immigration policies to modern day immigration is anachronistic and factually completely wrong. The demographic shift seen today is a modern phenomenon, not a historical constant. Before the 1948 Nationality Act, "British" described a cluster of closely related ethnic groups with shared ancestry reaching back to the Bronze Age. Attempting to relabel a 4,500-year-old population as "immigrants" to justify modern policy is a fundamental misreading of the genetic and historical record. Reality does not support the "built by immigrants" myth.

I grew up watching John Cleese, Monty Python and Fawlty Towers. Enjoyed a lot of it immensely. But it turns out that Cleese is a first rate Islamophobic scumbag who spends all day on X spreading lies and misinformation about Muslims. The BBC should consider dropping all his shows as they certainly would if he was saying this stuff about Jews. Anyway, Cleese is an old prick who will meet his Maker soon. Then the laugh will be on him.
