@brent858 A progressive can absolutely win in Wisconsin, but I don’t think she’s a smart candidate. You have to display your beliefs in a way that’s palatable to your electorate but she acts like she’s running in nyc.

@VKlker @simplifiedseth For me I care about candidate quality and their political instincts. Abdul is wayyyyy better than Haley Steven’s but I don’t think the same can be said about Hong.

@Mike_from_PA He is so much better in an executive role. Senators can’t do shit. He can show his policies work in nyc and then nys as governor. Then he’d be a great senator or cabinet secretary

@mattxiv This is an example of you taking it too far. I am not supportive of the Israeli government, but you are generalizing an entire nation of people. It’s the same as someone thinking all Americans suck bc of Trump. Or all Iranians are bad bc of their govt. you lack nuance, Matt.

@izme_josh @RobTillman7 lol it has a 100% success rate bc she’s picky. She’s only choosing progressives she knows will win. It’s a strategy

@RobTillman7 Exactly. Her endorsement has had a 100% success rate so far. Endorsing the NYC DSA slate would be a safe and easy way to keep her record and have important endorsements for her presidential bid

@JDCocchiarella I agree with you in theory on everything but you are losing it Jack. This isn’t funny. Like I literally agree w you on platner and Israel but you are hurting the cause

As someone who preferred Platner to Mills, I am incredibly angry at this guy for putting my fellow Mainers — and given the stakes, all decent Americans — in such an awful position. Susan Collins is a serial abettor of the worst forces in our country; she *must* be defeated. (1/4)

Three women who dated Graham Platner, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine, told The New York Times they found his actions intimidating and disturbing, describing volatile relationships. nyti.ms/4dRPvLm

@JulianAndreone I obviously am pro platner’s policies but if sexual assault allegation come out this isn’t something you can joke and shrug off. He has displayed a pattern of bad decisions. People worried about him as a candidate is important too

I asked Sen. Bernie Sanders if there's concern sexual assault allegations could come out on Graham Platner after the #MESen candidate privately assuranced Dems there's no "credible" forthcoming claims Sanders: "Who are you with?" Me: "The Examiner." Sanders: "Why don't we examine income and wealth inequality?" Platner previously denied anything else would come to light before the extramarital sexting news.

@simplifiedseth If you had real convictions you’d go into a sector that was making a difference but you admit in your post that you are gonna cash out. Again, that’s totally fine - but this persona you put up on Twitter is insufferable when you don’t have the real convictions to back it up 🤷‍♂️

@aobrien2010 Susan Collins will win by 25 points. Whoever recruited, funded, and hired Graham Platner to run for Senate in Maine should be outed so this mistake never happens again.

@simplifiedseth There’s nothing wrong with falling into the system, but don’t pretend you are above it. You act like you are morally superior to your classmates and everyone else. You judge everyone else when you should be judging yourself.

@simplifiedseth Why did you go to gtown then. This is just performative. If you actually cared about the issues you would’ve dropped out but you didn’t because you are part of the problem. You enjoyed all the perks and shirk all the blame.

@davidsirota I agree with this but I do think that there is a thinly veiled layer of sexism to it. Can you name many women who break this mold? Ewarren is a progressive but she is very much teacher’s pet

DC Bureaucrats hijacked Virginia… but we will restore it. Arlington and Alexandria were always meant to be a part of DC. That’s why I introduced the Make DC Square Again Act, because it’s a simple concept: DC = 🟥
