@clements2016 @balc_top Moyes just hates young players. There’s no other logic as to why he would carry on with Mykolenko and McNeil, when both are absolutely shite. A better manager would give the younger players a chance when the experienced ones are stinking the place out.
English

@lovelystuff1878 @BillEvram Moyes just hates young players. Harrison Armstrong hasn’t had a sniff lately either, but we’d be better off in the long run playing both.
English

@BillEvram @TacticallyMatt Everyone saying “he hasn’t shown any of this when picked”, have you been watching Dwight McNeil? He offers nothing and we were actively trying to sell him 3 months ago. Why is he playing??
English

@tylerblack32 @FasilBalti I think the monument needs to be about 80% shorter on Trump’s side….
English

#Newsnight So much of that high street crime segment was reminiscent of Brass Eye. The presenter said he saw “somebody take the entire meat section of a big supermarket”. What kind of coat are you wearing to steal that much stuff?
English

@AnfieldSector They won the first four games of the season, just after Jota’s death. But it’s only an issue now?
English

[🟢] NEW: As things stand, FSG believe there is mitigation for performances: the death of Diogo Jota principle among that, given its effect on his team-mates at the start of the season. There has also been the fall-off in performance of the stars of the era, primarily last season’s top goalscorer Mohamed Salah.
While Slot is acknowledged to have made errors, the feeling is that he deserves four transfer windows before a judgment is made.

@justinamash @atrupar And yet nobody says anything. Not one person in the room tells him what the actual test was or what it was for every time he brings it up. They just sit there and lap it up, impressed that he’s not drooling on himself.
English

This is the weirdest flex ever by a president.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar
Trump: "I'm the only president that ever took a cognitive test. I took it 3 times. It's actually a very hard test for a lot of people. It wasn't hard for me. It starts off with an easy question and by the time you get to the middle it gets tougher -- mathematical equations and things."
English

@GuillemBalague @OllieHolt22 Loved him as a player for Everton, but his public backing of Thomas Partey, and his general touchline antics have turned me against him.
English

Brilliant piece from @OllieHolt22 👇
This bit keeps coming back to me.
"Many are still consumed by a strange kind of naked desperation for Arsenal to fail. That desperation seems to centre on Arteta more than any of his players, as if he has become a lightning rod for the schadenfreude of opposing fans and they cannot bear the idea that he is going to have the last laugh."
Help me understand why the dislike (apart from the fact that winning gets seen often as suspicious in the UK, and that fans from other teams would use any stick available, no matter how flawed, to diminish a win from other clubs)
But don't give me partisan lines, I would like some kind of sociological/psychological explanation (if possible)
Oliver Holt@OllieHolt22
Why Mikel Arteta deserves way more credit than he's getting for the job he's doing at Arsenal dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…
English

@DonSubstance @BeckettUnite Yes. I can tell he’s lying because his lips are moving.
English

@BeckettUnite any body language experts in here? Facial cues? Micro expressions?
English

@HLTCO I’m just trying to imagine someone doing that at Goodison towards the end of one of our threat of relegation seasons, and there’s just no way he could have survived without getting a crack.
English

Surely this bloke doesn’t sit there doing minute by minute comms every week? The people who sit around him must be absolutely sick of him. 😂
Fun With Flares@Funwithflares
I love laughing at Tottenham fans 😂😆
English

@realrikkidoolan This has been a regular occurrence since 2021, you fucking idiot.
English

@daviddownie17 Be in Villa points territory really. Huge game Tuesday if serious Europe ambitions.
English

@toffeechris85 @TacticallyMatt Of course we need a progressive manager, if not then that is the definition of going nowhere?! It shouldn’t be rocket science to not put your best centre back at left back, your best centre midfielder at right back and an 18 year old centre mid on the wing?!
English

@Jackoranda @TacticallyMatt This is just the go to shout for our fan base since last time Moyes was here. Let’s go for a progressive manager like er silva. Oh wait haven’t we tried that. If we keep thinking we need a better manager every time things go a bit shit then we’re going no where
English

I actually don't disagree with this quote.
But I don't think him playing at left-back makes us a better team, which is the more important thing.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀@EvertonNewsFeed
🗣️ “Jarrad Branthwaite is as comfortable at Left Back as he is Centre Back” - David Moyes
English

@TacticallyMatt This is all the proof we need to get rid of Moyes in the summer. Dated thinking, refusal to play players in their actual positions, etc. Give him a painting of a Spitfire and let him go.
English

@efcindex @elob1878 @Benjwinst Maybe going forward, but Garner has to play right back. Patterson is awful and we need to bin off playing centre halves at full back.
English

@Jackoranda @elob1878 @Benjwinst Drop Gueye. Legs have gone.
Almost all metrics halved from last season. He’s quite, literally, half the player he was.
Garner + Armstrong for me.
English

@efcindex @elob1878 @Benjwinst Armstrong next to Gueye, surely? And either Dibling or George on the wing. Armstrong is badly wasted out wide. Also, I’d keep Mykolenko at left back, with Branthwaite and Keane CB’s. None of this is going to happen though.
English

@elob1878 @Benjwinst If Armstrong’s on the wing again I might top myself.
English

@spuddy1878 @edgyt10 James Garner needs to play right back until the end of season, and Harrison Armstrong has to play in the middle with Gueye. We had so much more control with that setup, even with 10 men.
