@RiseAgainstEvil tell him to rather convert hours worked per item (use work-time as currency), it's the quickest remedy for Rand-thinking and you quickly Realize how much more affordable the US is.

Just survived grocery shopping with my son. I put a block of cheese in the cart. He converts it on the spot, “Mother, no!!! Back on the shelf!” Milk? “R50 for this? We’re not buying liquid gold!” straight back. Avocados? “R120 each?! Back they go like he’s returning stolen goods. The whole time we’re getting absolute SIDE-EYE from every other shopper. Karens clutching their kale, old ladies peeking over their glasses, teens giggling like we’re a TikTok crime scene. One dude actually whispered “What is rand?” to his wife. By the end I’m pushing an empty cart with son-approved items like a zombie in load-shedding while he’s doing Rand-Dollar trauma conversions faster than a taxi driver spotting a gap. Every item gets the dramatic “Too expensive, we can survive on pap and sous” treatment. 😅 Son now has me questioning if we’re in Colorado or Switzerland? Proud of the budgeting skills, but we came home with two potatoes, a loaf of bread, and enough dirty looks to power Eskom for a week. Thank goodness for Walmart online.

I took your advice. We helped so many people in the past with the funds we had, sadly we are out of funds ourselves and cannot assist by ourselves any longer. I even have a Refugee family staying with us who were abandoned. It is time to accept help. Please pray for the refugees.

After leaving OPEC, the UAE can now freely increase its oil production, thanks to the Fujairah Pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz. The Emirates had planned and developed this independent export route for years, enabling it to add up to 2 million barrels per day. A strategic game-changer in global oil markets that could help break the grip of high prices 😎

No, opportunity is scarce because of your race obsessed laws holding back an economy that you and the rest of the ANC do not comprehend. Crack down hard on crime, invest in reforming schools to best practice and not ANC race obsessed nonsense, scrap BBBEE and protect and honour all your citizens equally. Development economics is not rocket-science.

Inequality is one of the greatest threats to human progress.   It retards human development and progress because where inequality exists, opportunity is scarce. Where opportunity is scarce, potential is wasted. And where potential is wasted, progress is not just slowed – it is stopped. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

My cousin Bruce was attacked in his home a few days ago and did not survive. He leaves behind his two children, Alex and Savannah. A fundraiser has been set up to support them. If you're able to contribute or share, it would mean a great deal. backabuddy.co.za/campaign/suppo…

60-year-old Robert Graham Cilliers and his life partner Ansie van Aardt were in bed on their smallholding in Gerardsville, Centurion when armed attackers surprised them and opened fire through the window. A gunfight broke out as Cilliers tried to defend their home. Both were shot in the head, Graham also between the eyes. The attackers were heavily armed, "as if they were going to war," according to a close friend. The couple was killed in cold blood, shot execution style.

A critical look at the new Post colonial, (Racial-)Marxist history curriculum proposed by department of Basic Education. It will simply isolate the thinking of the generation to whom it taught that will grow up to have no comprehension of increasingly global world in which South Africa plays a shrinking role. -> The dangerous "decolonisation" of SA's school history curriculum. politicsweb.co.za/news/the-dange…

Last night a 76-year-old man, Trompie Kruger, was brutally assaulted and held up in Kameeldrift-Oos during a violent farm attack. According to reports, there was a struggle in the kitchen and he was repeatedly struck over the head. His son later described the scene as one where there was blood everywhere, even against the kitchen cupboards. His wife and family were inside that home while this happened. Rural safety remains another policing crisis in South Africa. IC

When I sit outside and watch the sunset paint the sky in soft pinks and golds, a quiet wave of gratitude washes over me. I don’t have to rush inside anymore. I don’t have to lock the door behind me with trembling hands. I don’t have to check every window, searching for signs of forced entry or missing burglar bars. I don’t have to gather my family into one room, whispering instructions as we huddle together on makeshift beds on the floor. I don’t have to shut my dogs away in tiny, cramped spaces for their own protection. I don’t have to scatter makeshift weapons around the bedroom like some desperate last line of defense. I don’t have to drag heavy furniture in front of the door, barricading us in for the night. Most of all, I don’t have to lie awake in the darkness, my heart pounding, straining to hear every unfamiliar sound or a stranger’s voice. Instead, I smile. A deep, soul-filling smile. Then I pinch myself, almost in disbelief, because I can stay right here. I can sit under these stars for as long as I want. All night, if I want to. This. This is what America has given my family. Safety. Peace that settles deep in the bones. Quiet contentment. A dream we never dared to fully believe in. Life.

Little Wiehan Botes was only 5 months old when he was strangled in the one place he should have been safe. On 23 May 2012 in Delmas, Mpumalanga, his parents, who had waited 8 years for their miracle baby, dropped him off at his day mother’s home as usual. That afternoon, both 5-month-old Wiehan and 66-year-old Margrietha de Goede were brutally strangled by three Black men. Wiehan’s tiny body was hidden under a bed. Oh, and they forgot to rob.

We have all the skills, expertise, land, minerals, resources needed. Lesser countries are envious. But we squander all of it on Gucci, force great people to emigrate and leave resources gathering dust, while the poor get R350. It’s all a scam.
