what's true is that it's hard to balance the requirements of an appchain (e.g. custom sequencing rules, etc.) if it has a general-purpose vm.
but it's clear how that can work w/ hypercore & hyperevm.
meeting lots of teams building in that model (basically 2 VMs) if they care about this.

the more tangible axis for blockspace is credibly neutral vs. opinionated / full-stack.
why does it matter if e.g. robinhood has a gen-purpose chain? what's relevant is that it's *their* blockspace.

that’s why it was chosen. And even if the most common implementations use multisig today, this can be upgraded later (just like all the L2s on L2 beat are / were).

In Q1 of this year, we went hard with the "every rollup will be a ZK rollup" messaging. At this point, this transition seems inevitable--although it'll take some time to play out, as technology adoption always does.
