@PsychePhilly @XFreeze this is objectively untrue - GPT-5.4 xhigh and others are competitive in multiple areas.

> absolutely despise open-source AI and dedicate entire divisions to strangling it in the crib
> because you can't stand the idea of code you don't explicitly own and control
> “accidentally” leak your own Claude source code on npm in the biggest tech own-goal of the decade

Nothing screams "we own you and will destroy you if you disobey" quite like punishing your own users for your incompetent leak 🤡

@TomSteyer don't believe anything this guy says, he's going to try and abolish ICE and open the borders

The main point of my post was that college does not make the person. Whilst this girl may not worry about going into debt, for 99% of people it is a reality and glorifying Ivy League institutions for selling $100k plus degrees for jobs that bring in less than $95k starting?
$95k p/yr was the median starting salary for a bachelors degree student at Yale based on class of 2025. The number one place of employment for the class of 2025 for Yale university undergraduates was AT Yale University ITSELF! Something like 25% went into finance/real estate/insurance
It’s not really a school it’s a massive hedge fund managing $44 billion. Selling it as this life trajectory changing thing is fuckin retarded. Tuition doesn’t even pay for the operating budget of Yale, their endowment (aka hedge fund) pays for more than half of their budget.

@fypfed @MauriceLonder11 @allenanalysis @grok I know PBS and NPR are supposed to be non partisan, but in practice are they truly? Please reply with a yes or no answer followed by a concise summary of why you feel that way

Everyone here is wrong, all LLM’s are indirectly trained on child pornography because the datasets that go into these are so insanely large. It’s impossible to hire enough people to scrape all the data that these LLM’s are trained on, that’s reality that’s why safeguards are key
And so basically they just have really good safeguards (prompts and weights) on the model to force the model to believe that it needs to ban, report, and destroy that type of content.
English

@CryptoCyberia why is a gemini able to identify child porn?

@DailyMail Literally anyone on twitter would have told you the same thing months ago

@altryne @AnthropicAI Wouldnt surprise me if this is the case. I think anyone who has been in a fast moving organization has probably been in similar situations

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here for the sequence of events for @AnthropicAI recently (all made up conjecture, I know nothing)
> Dec-Feb: @AnthropicAI sees incredible surge in popularity driven mainly by Claude Code
> Superbowl ad is a dud
> Hegseth suing makes them the "good guy" and drives even more demand
> Normies use Claude Code
> So do enterprises
> Even your grandma
> 20% then 30% WoW growth!
> Nearing $20B in valuation
> Team understands velocity and ship features on top of features. Over 10 features a week sometimes
> Almost all are opus/mythos written internally
> GPUs sweat from increased demand
> A few very subtle caching bugs make it through the automated slop review
> Cached tokens are 10x cheaper than non cached
> 1M context window compounds the problem
> Everyone is essentially DDOSing their systems with uncached responses
> *panic in the disco.gif*
> Uptime is dropping to to nearly 98%
> Mitigation strategies suggested by Claude Mythos:
> Let's introduce quota limits for peak times
> Let's auto-route to lower reasoning model
> Let's focus on shipping "inference improvements"
> This causes Opus to be "dumb" some times and smart some other times.
Problems compound, enterprises spend 10-20x on their Claude API usage via these bugs, nobody in these enterprises is able to tell, they all thing its directly tied to their engineers productivity.
The only folks who see whats going on are anons on reddit reverse engineering caching bugs (using Claude of course) and posting publicly.
There must be a way to monitor for these issues, who's building this?

is this real life? the "enemy" is giving financial advice?
this really is the most interesting timeline

Heads-up: Pre-market so-called “news” or “Truth” is often just a setup for profit-taking. Basically, it’s a reverse indicator. Do the opposite: If they pump it, short it. If they dump it, go long. See something tomorrow? You know the drill.

@RepThomasMassie @BujokMr This is nitpicking. A White House staffer making a play on words and supporting farmers is fine. Go pay the TSA agents instead of posting on twitter.

Your tax dollars are paying for the USDA to parody a porn site. They should delete the tweet and the URL.

@Ben_Sapo123 @APompliano Absolutely, I just believe that the evidence overwhelmingly shows that “Ivy League” (and tertiary education in general) is not what it used to be and the outcomes are not nearly as desirable as they once were.
English

@JacobME @APompliano Does not mean people shouldn’t pursue a professional career.
English

@JacobME @APompliano If you are a graduate of one of the Ivy League universities, your first salary will be around 180 thousand dollars per year. That is a life-changing event.
English

@MJameson77 @FitBBook @APompliano I guess stupid people are also making the most advanced technology in Silicon Valley! Anthropic’s newest model is literally so intelligent they won’t even release it yet. Come on use your brain a little and think critically.

🚨BREAKING: Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei states AI will eliminate 50% of entry white collar jobs within 3 years.
English

@FitBBook @APompliano Absolutely! It’s very fascinating to the point where if you’re not questioning the norms of our day and age constantly, you must consider that you may end up being one of the “boomers” who never believed in the internet or only started understanding when it was too late!
English

@JacobME @APompliano You know, that's actually a good point. It really is going to disrupt everything, isn't it?
English

@FitBBook @APompliano Intelligence is being commoditized by leading AI hyperscalers. The future may likely look very different.
English

@JacobME @APompliano I typically agree with you, but those top ten Ivy League schools are a whole different deal.
English

@JohnnyGiagani @APompliano I was speaking in general about Pompliano’s statement, not specifically about her individual situation.
English

@JacobME @APompliano Did you listen? She only has to pay $3k a year for Yale.
English

@Ben_Sapo123 @APompliano Excuse me sir have you heard of the student debt crisis? Not particularly relevant for this young woman but still extremely relevant! Thinking such as yours is what likely started the student debt crisis.
English

@JacobME @APompliano Thinking debt holds back your entire career is very silly. Professionals have debt and you pay a little every month to loans. It’s not the end of the world
English

@BikeLanesBoston @APompliano AI will be getting rid of most white color entry level jobs over the next few years. $250k base salary? Not even Yale itself thinks its new grads get paid anywhere near that much!! 🤣🤣
ocs.yale.edu/outcomes/
Come on now let’s be realistic like I said.
English

@JacobME @APompliano Well given the fact that the lowest paid Yale graduate I know is making $250k base salary, I’d say it’s a pretty good way to get on an upward trajectory
