With their ultimatum to us, it felt like we were being punished for bringing these seats to their attention in order to ensure takeoff for the rest of the passengers. United seems to be prioritizing timeliness over safety when they told us only our seatbelts were necessary

we boarded UA 5339 today from SFE and found our seats on the floor and unable to be reattached properly. Flight attendants told us we can either “fly with these seats or miss this flight”. We were kicked off the flight and missed our connection. @united please address this!

@SunCountryAir Thanks for responding but that’s simply the computer generated response - it’s 10:25 AM CST (4 hours past schedule) and we haven’t even re-boarded yet. This is a mechanical/technical issue that deserves some compensation at this rate. What can you offer?

A short weekend trip is being hacked away at when your technical service personnel are unable to fix a problem for 3 straight hours. Please prioritize this issue!
