🌪️ Chasing with @erikfox2000 and @project_otus today in Kansas. Potential is there for strong tornadoes in the red highlighted area. The team will be flying drones into tornadoes to continue important weather research. I will be live on @KSNNews all day with @LisaTeachman . If you live anywhere in the risk area, it is very important to stay weather aware and have multiple ways of receiving watches and warnings. @amarkowitzWX I’ve said this for a long time. The hype, dramatic, doomsday approach to every event is old and irresponsible.

If YouTube weather was around on 4/27/11 this is exactly what I would expect to see for a generational event. The problem is this messaging is used EVERY SINGLE TIME. If every event is exceptional or “not good” or “no way” then nothing is. And one day people will tune it out.

#Day2 tornado outlook from the #SPC has increased tornado probabilities to 15% cig 1. Enhanced risk has been maintained, however. At this point, this is a tornado dominate risk over NE Nebraska, NW Iowa and SE South Dakota.
