This is the answer I was looking for, how boeing can have a carbon fiber fuselage for the 787 if CF is such a terrible material for pressure vessels

@oolon Why would you even use carbon fibre for a negative pressure vessel? It's not a material renowned for its strength under compression.

In a previous life I did research into carbon-carbon composites, tensile testing of samples using acoustic measurement. The same as the Titan sub would have used in their "Realtime monitoring" C-C composites are very different to the polymer composite the Titan used... but

A whole rotisserie chicken for $7.50 is a miracle of capitalism. It's most of a day's calories for 30 minutes of minimum wage. It's delicious. It goes with everything. It comes hot, but you can eat it cold. Incredible.
