הלל ושמאי קבלו מהם. הלל אומר, הוי מתלמידיו של אהרן, אוהב שלום ורודף שלום, אוהב את הבריות ומקרבן לתורה: Mishnah Avot 1:12

If you know me, but not @fountaincomfort, please take the time to find out more. Fountain of Comfort aims to be a public resource for mental health. That doesn't mean it is the most important thing, but it does mean that it is important.
Fountain of Comfort@fountaincomfort

Mental health is not an individual problem. Many mental illnesses are socially contagious. Much of mental health depends on healthy social relations.

In my observation, if you spend all day thinking about “the Jews,” it’s a sign that something in your life isn’t going well and, instead of fueling that resentment and paranoia, you’d be better off putting your personal life together. You might try listening to Jordan Peterson.

Yesterday, on the eve of the Iranian New Year (Nowruz), the Islamic Republic hanged five teenagers who had been detained during the January protests in the cities of Qom and Ilam. Today, 18-year-old Melika Azizi from the city of Rasht, who was arrested for burning regime symbols during the protests, faces imminent execution in Rasht prison on the charge of Moharebeh (waging war against Allah). #IranMassacre‌ won't stop!

Nowruz Mubarak to all the Iranian Americans who call New York City home! It was an honor to celebrate Charshanbeh Soori with so many of you in anticipation of spring, renewal, and - now especially - the enduring hope of a new day for the Iranian people.
Nowruz is typically a time of good feeling, but this year is different. I continue to stand in opposition to this war, and I wish as many moments of joy as possible for all Iranians observing this special holiday.

Tucker Carlson & Candace Owens aren't attending Hollywood Oscar parties hosted by Vanity Fair or CNN or Netflix or Amazon or whatever. There is no red carpet for them. Most of the antisemitism on the right is strictly contained online. No one actually cares, Here it's institutionalized and welcomed into the most prestigious entertainment real life vestibules in the country. In media, and politics.

@PaulVanderKlay @iamchrisyoung @disclosetv Politics divorced from religion is impossible. That is weather without climate. Politics married to religion is ridiculous. That is wearing snow gear during a New York summer. Each must have its place. Which is hard. Which is why so many people try to marry and divorce them.

Netanyahu seems to be quoting the historian Will Durant here. The meaning of Durant’s quote is that without having power, being righteous doesn’t save you from tyrants in the temporal world. Agree or not with the quote or with Netanyahu’s actions, bear the intentionally obfuscated context in mind. What I find especially interesting is that some of the people who are taking issue with this quote routinely echo its sentiment. This applies both to people who make the sensible point that you cannot ignore power politics and the more third-worldist types who idolise hard power while blaming the “weak and decadent west” for hiding behind idealistic moralisms and being unwilling to wield hard power; and who by the way now detest western powers for using hard power. Notice how the latter group often dismiss moralistic criticisms as naive and pathetic. But they are not willing to be consistent in applying this to their own commentary. People in power need to be criticised. But performative outrage is counterproductive. The fact that this is characterising discourse more and more is very tiring and annoying.

@elicalebon @jvgraz @stefinitos Exactly. In all my years hoping for this murderous regime to finally be overthrown and for our beautiful country to return to what it once was, I never imagined having to face such horrible, shameless people defending its atrocities. It’s truly unbelievable.
