We’re proud to partner with the Engineering Students Association (ESA) of the University of Nairobi @uonbi, as a Platinum Sponsor of the Green Tech Conference happening on 26th March 2026. Because every young engineer with an idea deserves a platform to explore, test, and turn the idea into something real. At Jacob’s Ladder Africa, we see this as the starting point for enterprise development, supporting young innovators from the idea stage and connecting them to the tools, networks, and opportunities they need to build. Through greenlabs®, innovators gain mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, practical skills, and market access needed to launch bold, impactful green businesses. That’s how green jobs are created. That’s how Africa moves forward. #GreenEconomy #YouthPower #Innovation #JLA @Sellahb @uonbi @timotsi1 @ASBELKEMBOI7 @kevolwe_godfrey @PeterKariukiKE

Every step of this walk is about moving closer to what comes next. 🚶🏾‍♂️🌱 Phase One of our Sustainable Agriculture Programme showed what’s possible when young people come together to prepare the land and take responsibility for the future. Now the focus turns to Phase Two: building the greenhouses that will transform municipal land in Matzikama Local Municipality into a place of production, learning, and opportunity. The Matzikama Green Walk is an invitation for everyone to be part of that next step. Africa doesn’t lack ideas. It needs proof of what works. Across the continent, organisations are already deploying real solutions that are creating green jobs and building skills. They deserve to be seen, studied, and scaled because nothing motivates action like evidence. That’s why JLA is convening the Inaugural GreenWorks 4 Africa Forum (11–13 August 2026) and calling for submissions of high-impact case studies from across the continent. We are seeking proven initiatives that are piloting, scaling, or institutionalising solutions in areas such as renewable energy, e-mobility, climate-smart agriculture, circular economy, natural capital, and green manufacturing. Selected case studies will help shape this Pan-African working forum focused on execution, impact, and scale. Submit your case study via greenworks.jacobsladder.africa/case-study-sub… Submissions open: 6 March – 30 June 2026 @Sellahb @Bilha_Ndirangu @Mandakhabetsa @AGRA_Africa @ASBELKEMBOI7 @kevolwe_godfrey @timotsi1 @TGESA @MajestyAfrica_ @NetForCommDev @RydonVusisa

Africa’s green workforce challenge demands more than replication. It demands rigor. From 11–13 August 2026 in Nairobi, Jacob’s Ladder Africa will be hosting the Inaugural GreenWorks 4 Africa Forum, which will convene practitioners, policymakers, funders, workforce leaders, and enterprise builders from across the continent to interrogate assumptions, examine real-world case studies, and strengthen approaches that deliver results. It will be a one-of-a-kind, working forum where gaps are surfaced honestly, and collective expertise is applied to design solutions where current systems fall short. This is a Pan-African space for solution-oriented collaboration. Join Us. Partner With Us. Build With Us. One key takeaway from yesterday’s Royal Academy of Engineering @RAEngNews -led Green Skills Symposium was clear: investing in green skills is not enough; those skills must translate into opportunity. Across sectors, there was recognition that labour markets are undergoing rapid transformation due to climate change, resource pressures, and the transition to cleaner energy systems. Yet education and training systems are not evolving at the same pace. Two priorities stood out. First, advancing the green transition through innovation and business models that are grounded in real market demand and capable of sustainable scale. Second, strengthening certification pathways for decent work in the informal economy. With a significant share of economic activity taking place informally, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) frameworks and structured certification mechanisms are essential to acknowledge existing expertise and integrate it into formal growth pathways. A recurring message throughout the sessions was clear: fragmented efforts will not deliver structural transformation. Government, industry, academia, and development actors must align around coordinated systems that connect skills, enterprise, financing, and market access. At Jacob’s Ladder Africa, we drive the growth of youth-led green enterprises as a pathway to inclusive, climate-resilient economic transformation. Our focus is on ensuring green solutions move beyond conversation into scalable, employment-generating outcomes. If you are working to advance green enterprise ecosystems, strengthen certification systems, or unlock financing for climate-positive ventures, we invite you to connect with us. communications@jacobsladder.africa #GreenSkills #AfricaEngineers @Sellahb @Mandakhabetsa @UNEP @UNEP_Africa @timotsi1 @PeterKariukiKE @ASBELKEMBOI7 @kevolwe_godfrey @ArafatMukasa
