At Université Paris Nanterre 🇫🇷, during the “Village de l’égalité” (Equality Week), Jewish students set up a table to raise awareness about antisemitism. They were suddenly surrounded, mobbed, and assaulted by a Free Palestine crowd. Because apparently, even in spaces meant for equality, talking about antisemitism is enough to get Jews attacked. The irony is hard to miss.

No Jew in the UK has set fire to anything belonging to a Muslim person. No Jew has stabbed a Muslim person in the street. Yet Jews are murdered, their ambulances burning and there are marches against Jews regularly which the government do nothing about. There are actual Jew Hunts under cover of banning Israeli hummus. There are exhibitions showing Jews eating babies. There is at the same time terrifying “guidance” from government to make citizens stop criticising Islam in any way. It’s twisted. Evil.

When the mayor of New York City hosts a Hamas sympathizer at Gracie Mansion, it sends a message. When the mayor of New York City stands by his spouse’s support for the massacre of Jews, it sends a message. The message is clear: Jews are not welcome in his city.

At a university-approved event at Toronto Metropolitan University 🇨🇦, a student group was reportedly selling stickers glorifying the Intifada alongside imagery of assault rifles. Let’s be clear. “Intifada” wasn’t a peace movement. It was a campaign of suicide bombings, shootings, and attacks that killed over a thousand Israeli civilians. And now it’s merch on a university campus. If your activism glorifies terrorism, stop pretending it’s about peace and justice.

Two more synagogues were shot at overnight in the GTA. Shaarei Shomayim in Toronto. The BAYT in Thornhill. On the Jewish Sabbath. As a Canadian Jew, I feel anger and dread. Antisemitic violence is escalating in real time, and tragically it’s becoming normalized. Gunfire at synagogues should shake this country to its core. Instead, it risks becoming just another headline. Canada’s leaders must confront this with urgency. Tragically, we all know where this road leads. Bondi Beach.

If you use @UberEats please be warned. They just tried to charge me $412 twice while allegedly issuing a $12 refund. I have lost hours on this, and my card is now stopped. This has been an awful experience and that they are still trying to rip me off is astounding.
