@MasterMaliq What do you say then of Muslims working in Non-Islamic banks who give out interest loans? Because it's like saying "don't sell alcohol in my building but you can bring the tax from the sales you made elsewhere". How realistic is this law in practice today?

Someone once asked: Dangote took an interest-based loan to build his refinery, which employed thousands. Since Islam forbids interest, how do we justify this? Is job creation enough to overlook what Allah has prohibited?

@DefenseNigeria Why does these air strikes always looks like the bandits get to run from the scene? It should be a coordinated one after another so as not to have them wasting their time here on earth when "their virgins are waiting for them in heaven". Kudos to Nigeria Airforce

Imagine an airline sold for ₦1. A few years later, it collapsed. ₦20bn in debt and 900 people laid off. Most would have shut down. Aero Contractors didn’t. They stopped trying to survive as an airline and rebuilt as a maintenance and repair business. And somehow, it worked.

@zimbabwean_1 @ZaharisJason @antonioguterres What I want to know is, how does hims stepping down benefits them then? Was his presence as a leader for 40 years affecting any national development negatively for them? If Libya was better during his tenure, why want him to step down?

Africa holds 60% of the world's best solar potential & receives only 2% of global clean energy investment. With the right finance, the continent could generate 10 times more electricity than it needs by 2040 – entirely from renewables. Africa must be at the centre of climate justice.

@Endowed777 @instablog9ja You are off point: if you want to address banditry, address it but don't try to water down the issue here by comparing it to the treatment of bandits. Both acts are evil!

24-Year-Old Man Sentenced To De@th By Hanging For R@ping And K+lling 17-Year-Old Girl In Ibadan An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has sentenced a man identified as Kolade Tosin to de@th by hanging for the m¥rder of 17-year-old Ifeoluwa Apanpa. Justice Mojisola I. Sule delivered the judgment on Monday at Court 9 of the Oyo State High Court. The convict was also sentenced to life imprisonment for r@ping the deceased before k+lling her in the Olodo area of Ibadan on September 17, 2022. The convict was 20 years old at the time he committed the offence. During the trial, the prosecution team led by the Oyo State Attorney General, Abiodun Aikomo, presented four witnesses, including the victim’s father, retired ACP Arimiyau Apanpa; her pastor, Olusegun Ajulo; Corporal Ayoade Quadri; and ASP Segun Oladunjoye of the State CID, Iyaganku. While delivering judgment, Justice Sule dismissed the defendant’s denial of making statements to the police, stating that investigations showed the statement was obtained lawfully in the presence of his parents. According to the judge: “It is settled principle of the law that a litigant will not be allowed to blow hot and cold at the same time.” “I hold in agreement with the prosecution that the defendant’s denial of making a statement to the police later in his defence is an afterthought and cannot avail him.” The court also rejected the defendant’s claims that his parents never made statements to the police, noting that he failed to call them as witnesses to support his defense. She said the prosecution successfully established that the defendant forcefully had s+xual intercourse with the victim without her consent before k+lling her. The judge said: “The defendant gave a graphic detail of his cr+mes. He told the police that he forcefully had s+xual intercourse with the deceased, thus signifying that she did not give her consent.” After reviewing both oral and documentary evidence, the court found the defendant guilty as charged. Justice Sule pronounced: “I therefore hereby sentence you, Kolade Tosin, to d+ath, by hanging on the neck until pronounced d+ad. May God have mercy on your soul.”

@zimbabwean_1 @ZaharisJason @antonioguterres You blame Gaddafi for Libya's condition as it is? It's the opinion you hold I respect it, but I don't subscribe to that opinion. Gaddafi had his flaws of wanting to hold on to power for long (as it is common with most African leaders), but I believe Libya was better with him.

@Jaheem_Official @ZaharisJason @antonioguterres Libya is worse because Gaddafi decided to go down with the country. He was cruel and selfish. Gaddafi was not the only one capable of working for the interests of Libyans. Same with Kagame, he aint the only one capable of working for the interests of Rwanda.

@instablog9ja How is he still waiting for job from the government? I mean, yes the system might be bad, but why go through years of studies only to be waiting for a government job? Sometimes we just blame government for what we can do for ourselves...well, he knows what he is after

27-year-old Nigerian PhD holder cries out over unemployment despite multiple degrees and national recognition A 27-year-old Nigerian scholar, Dr. Ayomide Alokun, has sparked reactions online after staging a protest in Abuja over his inability to secure employment despite his academic achievements. Dr. Alokun was seen holding a placard stating that he possesses a BSc and MSc in Political Science, as well as a PhD in International Relations, yet remains unemployed. He also disclosed that he received national recognition during the COVID-19 period for his humanitarian efforts in distributing palliatives while serving as a corps member. The incident has once again fueled discussions about rising unemployment, underemployment, and the growing frustration faced by many educated youths across Nigeria. 📹: @ayoalokun

@Jaheem_Official @ZaharisJason @antonioguterres It doesn't matter who influenced them. He chose to destroy Libya so that we will have people who will think Libya couldn't prosper without him. There was no way US or whatever the western countries were going to uproot Libya and run away with it. Gaddafi was very wicked.

@instablog9ja He is not trying to "be a man" as it would be said; his main reason for the peace he has is that "Alex is resting with Christ". And what greater joy there is knowing that a man has lived the last few years of his life in communion with his Maker? Comfort to the family left behind

NDC the supposed party that is for Nigerians is selling presidential form for sixty million naira; That's N60m for a party that is considered for everyday people. So you expect a candidate who pays N60m for just nomination form (minus campaigns), and will earn just N 1.5m as a sitting president to be credible. Be serious.
