@BillWiIdin If I have to go into the office you should pay my travel time. That's an extra 2 hours a day paid.

If you work from home, you shouldn't get a full salary since you're basically Babysitting your own life on company time. If you have time to start a load of laundry between meetings, you’re technically a part-time employee.

@ejgallagherx Because half the green/labour supporters use derogatory language against those voting for reform, and they suggest no direct tax reduction for people earning under 50k.

@Fx1Jonny Maybe you and others could stop calling half the population racists, sexist and bigots and get the parties to suggest lower tax policies for anyone earning under 50k and youd have some success

We wake up to Reform dominating British politics. As Muslims, we should be very worried about the future of Britain. We have a few years until the general election. A Reform government and Farage as PM are very depressing.

@kyalXIII @ToryFibs £1 bus fare is not the working class. You can't get a bus anywhere outside of London to work. Rent controls are the equivalent to the energy price cap- which screwed us over, £15 min wage creates inflation and devalues jobs above £15 an hour, £40 for disabled is another benefit.

@catturd2 Too f***ing bad We’ve being used by the Brits n EU since 1949 as they undermined our interests If those troops are back - they’re safe & our local economies gain What many don’t realize is that our troops protect n help maintain local economies abroad so Europe will lose $

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany. It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.

@dave43law The billionaires haven't frozen our tax free threshold on both income and student loans, failed to regulate energy companies when we most needed it and raised our taxes across the board. Politicians have.

@THemingford It's not viable because the government tax absolutely everything, then when essential services like food, energy and water increase, the same government who are there to protect failed so miserably they almost look like they're supporting the corporations.

If paying people enough to live on "tanks your business", then the model was never viable. That is not an attack on small business, it is basic economics. You cannot build an economy on wages that do not cover the cost of living.
SmolCitizen ▚▘▚▘▚▘@smolcitizen

So many retards on X today all thinking they have an economics degree, when in reality they're championing a policy that would tank the economy and destroy so many small businesses. Here is a prime example.

@bubbotron3000 @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ NI costs 2-2.5k on per employee on mine wage. That's still a net negative against the 5k min wage increase we can't stop them increasing prices. The tax free threshold should be 17k today with inflation. They have collected an increased 400B more in tax per year since 2020.

@JakCallamB @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ I’m not talking about the staff, I’m talking about the business’s NI requirements. No, the general public will stop them increasing their prices. Increasing the threshold would cost over £50b a year! How the hell do you cost that in???

@bubbotron3000 @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ Minimum wage staff only pay £800 a year in NI. The increase of 5k in salary is still cancelled out. You can't stop a business from upping their prices to cover their costs. They should increase the tax free threshold to 20k rather than increase min wage to £15.

@JakCallamB @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ Well you didn’t explain how changing the NI employers have to pay would affect anything. Don’t you think larger businesses should be stopped by legislation from destroying our economy and our country by doing things like that?

@bubbotron3000 @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ What tax break? Small businesses already pay low rates and min wage increase to £15 would cost them 5k per employee per year. Larger businesses will either increase their prices or make redundancies to cover the cost creating inflation.

@JakCallamB @ndyRoo2 @Boba_Ball_ I think the capital gains tax is meant to be an increase for larger business which would raise funds to support more tax breaks for the smaller guys. Why don’t you want to try and change things to help small businesses as much as possible?
