The other huge error in what he says is that it ignores the national insurance receipts of £204bn which are in fact used to pay state pensions and a small number of other benefits. So the cost of much ‘welfare’ spending does come out of the £331.4bn income tax receipts.

People against legalising drugs clearly have no idea of the suffering caused by prohibition. Too many people die because the market is controlled by criminal gangs. Dodgy batches cut with all sorts of rubbish, gang wars, and the constant cycle of crime to feed the habit. It’s time to end the suffering and legalise and regulate drugs.
