If a guy can go from 10 to 32 million in one year … there truly is no reason to have this arbitration system. It literally breaks what was supposed to be the entire purpose of it all.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, and trust me I am NOT siding with Tigers ownership here.
But Framer Valdez making $38 million a year has nothing to do with Tarik Skubal and what he is or isn’t worth in arbitration.
I think Skubal is the best pitcher in baseball. Do I think he should be the highest paid pitcher in baseball? Yes.
But Framber was a Free Agent and Tarik Skubal is in arbitration. They are very different things.
