When we first moved back to NYC (2019) I got stiffed on 6 months of work as a freelancer.
I paid for wardrobe out of pocket expecting reimbursement, filmed 20 episodes, and never saw a dime.
The CEO ghosted everyone. Any way I can still get paid. It’s close to 6 figures?

Forte acquired Phoenix Labs over a year ago and now PL has massive layoffs & cancels its game projects (apparently some were set to be announced next month).
Forte will have burned through $100 million with no games and no workable platform. Web3 initiatives still struggling.

Major layoffs at Fae Farm, Dauntless dev Phoenix Labs today. Two sources said over 100 people have been impacted. On LinkedIn, a former worker said all in development games have been cancelled, including one about to be announced. Devastating news — so sorry to those impacted.

@jonahblake @BossierNoah @brycent lol this has some truth, but most web2 developers at least have the prospect of launching a game with a shot at a proven revenue model. Premium vs. live service vs. budget self contained experience is a simpler approach than tokenomics/minting/renting/marketplace chain issues

I love Texas, especially food culture as a BBQ addict married into a Mexican family. But I cannot stand Austin, because of how the culture has changed the past seven years.
Don’t like Dallas either but San Antonio and Houston are awesome. And enjoy the Valley.
