Robots, AI and world-class engineers in the middle of Manhattan!
Our office on Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan is home to groundbreaking technology and a mission-driven team solving some of America’s hardest problems.
@AnnikaPergament and @NY1 got inside access and toured the office with our Co-founder and CEO, @jakeloosy.

Hear directly from U.S. Navy leadership on why Gecko's work is so important to fleet readiness and national security.
At @SeaAirSpace, Gecko's Troy Demmer discussed this with RDML Andrew Biehn, U.S. Navy's Director of Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment; RDML Dianna Wolfson, U.S. Navy's Director of Fleet Maintenance; and Eric Chewning, HII's EVP of Maritime Systems and Corporate Strategy.

If America is going to re-industrialize, innovation has to go inward

“Make mining sexy again!”
Mining hasn't changed in 40 years. Companies still run on clipboards and can't hire anyone. Only 200 people graduate with a mining degree every year in the US. Jake, CEO of Gecko Robotics, thinks automation and humanoid robots are about to change all of that. The companies that embrace tech will win. Is a mining renaissance coming?

For decades, the so-called “experts” wrote off places like Appalachia. They said the jobs were gone. They said the future belonged somewhere else.
Now, America wants to re-industrialize and our technology is built by well meaning people who have no idea how these sectors work and don't want to get their boots dirty.
The heart of America is strong and full of patriots who want join the fight to re-industrialize this country. With great leadership and the right technology, it will come back stronger than ever before. The future I am building with my colleagues at @geckorobotics , is a future where the robot revolution, is led by the people who get their boots dirty every day. Where AI is built alongside and inside of Appalachia and places like it, who once drove industries and are being called on once again.

Our critical infrastructure is aging, invisible, and failing. Chatbots won't fix a crumbling bridge or a nuclear sub, but AI PLUS robotics will.
Jake Loosararian (@jakeloosy) is solving this at @GeckoRobotics. He joins @jason to discuss their new $71M contract with the Navy, competition with China, and how you should be thinking about using AI.
This Week in AI Episode 6 out tomorrow at 9 AM PT.

@realKunalAShah @geckorobotics Laser profiles not fixing cracks. We built that 9 years ago for power sector. Data needed is WAY more complex.
Nice try china, but I see you…

Gecko Robotics CEO @jakeloosy says his core thesis, "build technology in the real world, not in the lab," has faced pushback from even the most prominent Silicon Valley investors. One told him: "Throw this in a lab, make it autonomous, then launch." "He was one of the top three investors in the world." "I was like, 'That’s stupid. That's a bad idea.'"
