Being transparent on the good, and the bad. I am down $1000s on $BABA still. I started buying back in 2021, you can see my green buys. Cost basis across all the buys is around $160ish I still view this as my China hedge, but it's a reminder to not try to catch a falling knife, and to never be in a rush to buy a stock. Back in 2021 I felt that the deals would vanish, or we would have another V shaped recovery on a fall. Overall I'm 100,000s up on my investments, but that doesn't mean you don't get punched in the face along the way.

What is everyones AI agentic coding stack here? I just tried a lot of tools the last couple of weeks. I'll list some brief thoughts... Current stack: - CMUX.dev, god tier ghostty wrapper for multi-pane agentic coding that is just the right level of terminal glitter without a full fledged heavy IDE - 90% Claude Code, 9% Codex, 1% Composer/Cursor (code search) Fun project: - Automate SWE e2e with OpenHands and discord bot, it's actually working well for small features (think "Devin" but not over priced and hardcoded exactly to your stack and specifications) Graveyard: - Plain Mac terminal for CC and Codex - Cursor: Since Opus 4.5, using an old school IDE just feels caveman era - Conductor.build, honestly cool but missing some core features like split pane and doesn't support /remote-control in CC at all - (Didn't try) Superset.sh, I am just not really into these pseudo mac apps that try to be a terminal, but aren't a terminal, I'm bearish on them. - Writing code by hand (99% of code is AI generated, rarely I'll do frontend style tweaks and things with secrets by hand) I'd love to hear what other people are using and if there's any different experiences out there!

@bjmtweets I'm slowly DCA'ing into it. I think in this market it can easily drop more... but at the same time I'm not trying to time the market TOO much as I really do believe today is a good value/price.

@joecarlsonshow Do you get excited when it drops? I love when my portfolio goes down short term as long as the company thesis doesn't break. It means better entry points on great businesses! Keep killing it and being transparent, you're a positive light in the retail investing community!

My year to date: -9% More than 100k down. I feel fine saying it. My companies are doing well, their cash flows and earnings are all at highs and growing quickly. I’ve been adding more money to both my public portfolio and my private account (which is just SCHG). This can swing back in the positive very quickly. Be ready.

Their AI product Duo Agent launched a couple months ago and they are only rolling it to select clients right now so I haven't touched it directly. I did read up on it and listen to the last earnings call about it. It aligned very closely (by happy chance) to my personal view of where software engineering is headed. I've been a hardcore software engineer for 14 years so I believe I have an edge and intuition on where things are evolving more than the market here, so I'm taking a shot on this one.

I have officially opened a small long position in $GTLB True pick & shovel play for AI/agentic coding I believe this is wrongly sold off in SaaSpocolypse Prime takeover target (Datadog rumored to be in acquisition talks last year) No debt. Turning profitable. Big moat.

@DrInvestor9 It's hard to time the market. After the drop from last earnings I took a deep look and realized what a gem this company and valuation was. I won't be surprised if it falls more from here because _themarket_ but I will just keep DCA'ing in more.

@JakeMRuth I also started a small position months ago, but is now my second largest position. Just on how irrational the sell off is i had to build it up as a huge position. Now lets wait and see what Mr. market tells us soon.

@businessbarista Some people are genuinely just idiots. It really isn't much deeper than that, or just plain jerks. But this is typical, I don't think this is new. Back since 2015 this was normal for any company I ever worked at. It's a blessing in disguise though. Avoid the bad ones.

I'm sort of baffled. I've been spending 30 hours a week interviewing strategists & engineers. Probably 20% of candidates never show up for the call. Is this a generational thing? Is it just that people are poor communicators? Imo, nothing more entitled than no showing to a job interview.

Its ok if we disagree here but I'll lay out some facts Lowest price plan is $49/m, that's not retail pricing All their feature drops are for client management and wealth managers. They get most of their revenue from professional users They claim that's not the case but I frankly don't believe it. They pay big $ to try to break into retail for a while but price the tool and build it for professionals I feel qualified to state this as I deeply try and have studied all these top tools for the past 5 years

@JakeMRuth @Uzocapital @MikeFritzell @stock_unlock No it’s not. It was built from the bottom up for individual investors, and also has plans for advisors, which cane later and offer features individuals rarely need.

We chose to not build features that you can get for free elsewhere from a Google search. We provide unique value we don't believe will be free with AI in the future. Or at least offering that value at an unbeatable cost. You can pay $200/m and build your own with Perplexity computer for example, or Google for earnings calls... Or you can pay us $9/m (most popular plan) and have us handle hosting/security/data/etc for you. It's not for everyone but we have 1000s of customers for years who can't live without us.

Retail investors shouldn't be paying $300-1000+/y for investing tools in 2026. @stock_unlock (est: 2020) has: - Unlimited free watchlists - Free to try everything before you buy - $9/m $90/y or $24m $240/y - 35 years of fundamental - 70+ internal exchanges - 30 day money back guarantee - Battle tested portfolio tracker, advanced charting, DCF, screener, best proprietary stock/valuation scoring model (built in house) It's a no brainer.

@melasdas1 @MikeFritzell @stock_unlock hands down, I'm a cofounder we have had a lot of ex-TIKR folks migrate to us and they seem pretty happy + are spending less to get more value, which means you can put more of your cash flow to buying stocks.
