@michaelhil79654 @5uga5ean He’s averaged 1675 scrimmage yards per year in his career and you’d never heard of him? You just don’t pay very much attention to the league, and that’s okay.

@5uga5ean Never heard of him till last year so idk how he way better plus he doesn’t contribute to winning lol I mean he got a lot of yards because they had no real qb so this post means nothing

@Matty_KCSN @StickToTheModel He’s a terrible slot corner. I don’t think he’s a very good safety either and would rather see Hicks there for the long-term. At the very least, I don’t think the difference between the two is to the “easily” degree. But we can just agree to disagree on that haha.

@JakeWingo @StickToTheModel I mean Conner is easily the second best S on the roster rn, he’s just bad as a slot corner. Having players like Kohou and hopefully Canady should keep out of that role which makes him vastly better overall.

I get the idea on the surface BUT Lost —> Replaced McDuffie —> Delane Watson —> none Cook —> Gilman Leo —> none Tillery —> Woods Danna —> Mason Thomas Nnadi —> Tonga 4 of the 7 pieces replaced were improved upon. Leo was awesome but a role player you *expect* to absorb that.

I'm going to get ahead of this Chiefs grade... The draft was solid (B grade) Now let's check in on the defense: - lost Jaylen Watson (CB) - lost Trent Mcduffie (CB) - lost Bryan Cook (S) - lost Leo Chenal (LB) That defensive secondary is verrrry suspect

@Matty_KCSN @StickToTheModel If there were only two options available, sure. Fortunately, there’s an option to not put Conner on the field unless someone is hurt. Canady should keep Conner off the field entirely. Seems that you’re much higher on Conner than I am though. Versatile, valuable backup imo.

@JakeWingo @StickToTheModel Think Conner playing purely as a S is an improvement over Hicks subbing in at S and Conner kicking into the slot, by a pretty large margin.

@StickToTheModel @Matty_KCSN Two playable linebackers is a significant problem for me. If Conner plays over Hicks, I will riot. Also think Canady has a shot to play early as the nickel.

@Matty_KCSN Really liked the draft Delane - Woods - Thomas is damn good DLine and starting CB should be fine, but the back of the defense and EDGE look a bit shallow IMO

@VinBarbarino @RobbyLloyd89 The only rounding is for the final score, not the underlying averages. The score ultimately has to be, there are more players being compared than there are individual points for scoring.

Something I missed due to all those site issues was that Jeff Caldwell's average, which was below Calvin's the last time I checked, actually ticked up and PAST the long standing 10.00 RAS wide receiver! We ended up with a new top score at WR, didn't see that coming!

@mjmac0026 @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Nah. If anything it increases your chances of burnout exponentially more than your chances of being 6’ 2”+ with long levers. For example, you could punt for 10 hours a day for 18 years and if you’re 5’ 6”, your chances of being an NFL punter are almost zero.

@justBill @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts You can’t meaningfully narrow down the sample size without making an assumption that you don’t know to be true though. That’s the issue. Do I think it’s .000000002%? No. But do I think .00002 by taking out, let’s say kids with specific disabilities, is meaningfully different? No.

@mjmac0026 @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Your dad saying “I’d like my son to be an NFL punter” doesn’t materially increase your chances of being talented enough to be an NFL punter unfortunately.

@JakeWingo @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts This might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. The entire argument is built around it being a punter because nobody attempts to be a punter except in this guys equation literally every man that’s nfl aged has had that as a goal since birth.

@Vipsaniu_s @JakeWingo @IsaacPunts You were being pedantic the moment you started asking if there were 3200 people. The obvious point is that it's very unlikely even if you train someone from birth. So pipe down pls

@ruallsion @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts You’re making the assumption that training from birth means you’re good enough to play in high school. Or that he would even want to. That’s a logical fallacy.

@ruallsion @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Yes, you could determine the chances of a high school punter becoming an NFL punter. That’s not what the original question was though. The question was what chance does my random kid have of becoming an NFL player. Much larger sample size.

@ruallsion @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts So you like your chances at becoming an NFL punter better if there are 28 available jobs instead of 32? Interesting. Not sure about that one, but have a good evening.

@JakeWingo @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts It’s irrelevant because the data set is “ percentage of American high school football hunters who went on to play in the NFL.” The like four Australians who didn’t go to high school in America don’t impact that stat because they aren’t part of the original group.

@ruallsion @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts So a non-American taking one or more of the available punting jobs in the NFL is irrelevant to the statistical odds to him getting one of the jobs? That’s just not how odds work. He now has one less opportunity to fill a previously open position.

@JakeWingo @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Is irrelevant to the conversation because this guy is an American so his kids would go to school in America. It’s an entirely different irrelevant data set

@JakeWingo @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Except we can literally quantify the odds than any random American high school punter will be an NFL player. We know how many high school punters there are and we know how many NFL punters there are. That would be the probability of any randomly selected high school punter

@ruallsion @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts As far as the punting in college point, he said high school player. Whether they kicked in the US in college just simply isn’t the point I was addressing.

@JakeWingo @Vipsaniu_s @IsaacPunts Every single starting NFL punter played in college in the US, so not really. But on top of that, OP is an American. His kid would be American. A random Nigerian child doesn’t have the same chance to make the NFL as a kid from California. That’s not how that works at all
