I didn't do this when I started on X...so I think it's time. Here is my story: I am a husband to a beautiful wife, a father to two amazing daughters. I own Oliver Investments LLC, where I am a Financial Adviser. I love helping people on their financial journey 👇

The Fed left rates unchanged, which leaves me in a perfect position to purchase a starter home sometime in the next 17 years.

Unless something crazy happens, it's safe to say that SpaceX stock will NOT clear the performance hurdle that early-employees were hoping for. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐬: if SPCX traded +30% above IPO price for 5-of-10 days leading up to Q2 earnings date, it would unlock an 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢 10%. It's on track to fail ❌ Next week after earnings, the first 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤-𝐮𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝟐𝟎% of held shares.

@SawyerMMay We both did basketball... but she was a 2 sport athlete (softball also).. full boat scholarship for her... I played d3 so I payed them to play 😂

@Jake___Oliver Thanks Jake! Absolutely. I learned more life skills playing sports than probably anything else throughout my life. What sport did she play?

Every so often I stumble across photos from the one year I played college football. Division III at Lewis & Clark college in Portland, Oregon. Still not totally sure how a California kid ended up there.. (that story's for another day). I had a partial offer to play at University of New Hampshire but college is expensive (I think it is still on my personal X page from years ago). I brought all kinds of fantastic qualities to the team like: average speed (slow, probably but come on now..), average strength, average height, couldn't throw a ball in the rain to save my life. Basically the walking definition of a "Game Manager." But I'll be damned if anyone ever said I wasn't competitive and focused. Turns out you can accomplish a lot if you watch film like a madman. This photo is from three games into that season. We had a winning record at that point. But we didn't win another game the rest of the year. For context, L&C had gone 0-35 over the previous three seasons before that. Having an impact has always come top of mind. At the time, I thought if I went to a school that hadn't won in years I'd have one heck of a story to tell about helping a college turn around the football program... We will just say that didn't go as planned. The only losing season (in anything) I've ever been part of was my first year playing football when I was 6. The only common denominator in those losing seasons looking back was ME.. Life rarely goes the way you draw it up. But I wouldn't change it for the world. If I never ended up in Oregon, I wouldn't be blessed with friendships with teammates and coaches from almost a decade ago to this day. Someday I'll share more on my long tenure as a college football player (1 year).

Just got an email I always love receiving.. Clients are having their first baby! It’s a super exciting time in life, but with it comes questions/actions that need to be considered around finances: - Potentially utilizing a Dependent Care FSA account if offered and plan to use child care next year for tax savings - Evaluation of medical plan coverage with adding a child.. which plan is best? - Discussion around life insurance and updates to coverage amounts based on new goals and new dependent - Updates to estate planning documents to include guardianship, potential for Trust, beneficiary updates - Conversation around education planning, goals to consider, where to save, and how much - Refresh on disability conversation, insurance amounts and new cash flow impact These are all topics I just sent back via email, that we will have a meeting around to make sure the plan is in order! It’s why ongoing conversation can be so important

We have also.. it is so cool isn't it? Love stuff like this. We have a couple old maps from 1816 and 1837 we had framed also... from our town with our family land on it. So cool. In my new house build I am doing a study (my office) that will have a lot these things hanging up.

@Jake___Oliver @Dynastus Highly recommend finding a document from this time period, have it printed on high quality paper, and have it framed in your home. I've done this on 2 pieces so far and it is such a conversation piece (plus I love seeing them each day)

Thought I was seeing double this morning when I looked out across the paddocks.

@Dynastus It was one of like 25 documents we found.. all citing his War time involvement.. every piece gives us more and more information and helps us piece together more of it.

My hot take? The right equipment adds to the mind muscle connection. My 25 year relationship with Bob the insane skull kettlebell gives me superior workout results. I know every groove and the tactile connection is instant and powerful.

with my wife’s friends they need a place to eat I watch them pull out TikTok to search for options not a single one of them pulled out google young women do not care about GBPs

2 years in August since I stood up the first wall in my build. But I've done it all myself. And all out of pocket. No debt. Sawed all the lumber myself for the entire build.. framing, boarding, and finish lumber. Just pulled a batch out of lumber kiln tonight of poplar, pine, and yellow birch. All from trees on my land. Labor of love at this point.
